The story that I read for the unit 5 is “The Tell-Tale Heart” by Edgar Allan Poe. The story is written in first person point of view and this makes it difficult to objectively understand of what is happening with the main character. The narrator, who is also the main character in the story, presents obscure and insane qualities which lead the reader to speculate about his behavior. The narrator tries to convince that he is not mad, the disease has not affected him, instead has sharpened his senses and he is a man of good judgments. The narrator thinks that his madness might be because of his acute hearing, some noises make him nervous.
