For example if your are trying to sell something and you want the people that you are trying to sell them you want the to feel connected so they they will be interested in the product you are trying to sell. You wouldn't want them to just be sitting there all bored. Put yourself in their spot and ask yourself would you want the person to be trying to connect with you. Communication is important to me because it is a key component in maintaining professional relationships with my coworkers and customers. For example, part of my responsibilities as a project manager is scheduling and conducting scoping meetings with customers at Mississippi State University. During these meetings it is important for me to listen to the customer’s needs and wants for their project. By listening, it allows me to produce creative designs that meet both building codes and their scope of work.
