The third rule simply states that all bodies that were in the event of a phenomena should be determined through scientific investigation. These explanations should apply to every instance of that phenomena. From experiments and astronomical observations, Newton states that all bodies gravitate towards Earth. There are three laws of motion. Nancy Hall states that Isaac Newton worked in many areas of mathematics and physics. In 1666, when he was 23 years old, he developed the theories of gravitation (2015). Otherwise known as Newton’s first, second, and third Laws of Motion. In agreement with HyperPhysics, “Newton's First Law states that an object will remain at rest or in uniform motion in a straight line unless acted upon by an external force” (HyperPhysics). The Standard Model of particle physics is a theory concerning the electromagnetic, weak and strong forces, as well as classifying all the subatomic particles known. It was developed as a collaborative effort of scientists around the world during the latter half of the 20th century. Because of its success in explaining wide variety of experimental results, the Standard Model is often referred to as a "theory of almost everything". Although the Standard Model is quite consistent, it does not address some profound questions about the nature of the universe and it does leave some phenomena unexplained. In 1916 Einstein proposed his new General Theory of Relativity that built upon Newton's Universal Theory of Gravitation which showed "that gravity is responsible for the motions of both planets and falling objects near the Earth" (Fix, p 86). Einstein' theory "describes gravity as a curvature in four-dimensional spacetime" (Singh, p. 502). The original intent of the theory was to explain the inaccuracies of Mercury's orbit when using Newton's law and the Sun's bending of light.

The Newtonian concept of space claims that space exists as an entity in its own right. This concept is the most user friendly, and it is similar to the common sense view that most people grow up with. That is, we experience objects around us as exist in a void of space, where that void itself can exist on its own. Objects exist in this space, which is an infinite entity. The theory claims that through our sense, sight, touch extra, we learn about the world. We learn from our senses about space and how it works. We start of in the world with no idea of space and through a trial and area type system of learning, we being to understand the nature of space and of objects in it.
