Unknown Pov: A Short Story

“I am going to get the kids meal though because I am not that hungry. I won’t eat it if we take it go.”

When my brother distractedly replied, "Uh-huh," and continued reading, the other girl rolled her eyes, chuckled, and replied, "You retard."

I rolled my eyes at my overprotective mother, “C’mon, it’s not that big a deal, this is the first time this has ever happened. Besides, it’s not like I’ll be messing with them like that kid probably was. Look at those cute little guys, there’s no way they would attack so viciously at random.”

“Are you okay? You seem quiet.” Bender mumbled as he watched me carefully after I didn’t say anything for another minute.

“How is that possible? We can’t feed on bigger animals or we risk getting caught by humans.” One of the elders pointed out.
