Introduction In this essay, I will review Ursula Bradford’s week five assignment, and give feedback based on the Capella Comprehensive Exam Rubric (Capella, 2016) grading standards. The areas that I will review are content and focus, analysis and critical thinking, logic and flow, structure and organization, writing style, APA format grammar, usage and mechanics. Content and focus (6) Ursula demonstrated an effort to stay focused on her research topic throughout the paper. She made attempts throughout her paper to emphasize and shape the context of Corporate social responsibility as it relates to consumers and businesses. Analysis and critical thinking (4) Ursula did a good job using Tom shoes as an example of a company that demonstrates corporate social responsibility. There was an introduction, body and a conclusion. Writing style (3) The writing style was satisfactory. Ursula wrote in an academic voice and stayed true to that throughout her paper. APA format (3) It was sometimes difficult to distinguish between Ursula’s voice and that of her source. There was no signal phrase clearly distinguish Ursula’s ideas to that of her sources. A clearer indication of that would have made a stronger paper. Grammar, usage and mechanics (4) While there were minor infractions, overall the usage and mechanics of the essay were good. I too struggle with punctuations. Conclusion In this brief essay, I reviewed Ursula’s week five assignment with regards to content and focus, analysis and critical thinking, logic and flow, structure and organization, writing style, APA format grammar, usage and mechanics. I think you essay if off to a great start and I look forward to seeing it developed further.
