There was also more diversity in Canada because there were people from different country coming into Canada. Most family in Canada had up to two cars per family which helped the economy and the business market in Canada. As a result of more people coming into Canada meant that they need food, money and a home this lead to more factories opening up for the people that need to work. Not only the people of Vancouver has ignored the mess in the DTES but also the government. The government has inadequately tried to clean up the DTES; contributing to futile outcomes. They have tried to increase policing in the community and health advances. However the policing brings more violence (police brutality) to the area and the healthcare provided doesn't provide therapy. This leads to a defamed area, where crime is the normal and people with mental illnesses subjected to fend of the streets.
