It is a joint venture between Housing Development Finance Corporation Limited (HDFC), India’s leading housing finance institution and standard life plc, the leading provider of financial services in the United Kingdom. HDFC Standard life’s product portfolio comprises solutions, which meet various customer needs such as protection, pension, Savings, and Investment. Customers have the added advantage of customizing the plans, by adding optional benefits called riders, at a nominal price. The company currently has 19 retail and 6 group products in its portfolio, along with five optional rider benefits catering to the savings, investment, protection and retirement needs of customers. • The objectives in brief are: 1. To study the various segment of HDFC standard life. 2. To identify the areas where the performance of the financial consultants can be improved. 3. To Study problem faced by the financial consultants. 4. To study the perception of the financial Consultants about the company. 5. To suggest measures of increasing in sales of HDFC-SL Insurance. Hypothesis of Research Study: Hypothesis behind the proposed study is declarative type i.e. as There are many variables affecting profitability and growth of HDFC-SL in India so there are many possibilities to overcome the problems & promote the expansion of HDFC-SL.
