He was faced with two prominently unfavorable situations: 1) The average summer temperature was 1.7 degree Celsius lower than anticipated. According to case we can attribute 5.1% decrease in sales due to this climatic condition over which Andres had no control. Also, he was forced to cut his price to remain competitive. 2) Andres was forced to import product from French division as he ran out of capacity several times due to new machines performing inadequately.
