I give this restaurant extremely high marks for producing a quality product.” Another bonus is that the restaurant is very popular, meaning the food is in high demand. Therefore the food that is already out doesn’t have time to get old and stale. But consumers don’t just want great tasting food in any amount; they want enough to fill them up until the time comes for their next meal.
I think I should be in the Junior Honor Society. I have met the requirements to receive this opportunity. I would not let this opportunity to waste. I care for the community and do what ever service to help it out. I help do services for the library when they need it. For example on March 10,2017, I helped make capes for sick kids and then gave them happy birthday cards for the birthday kids. I help out my community by helping people shovel their driveway. Like some of my neighbors can't do it so I ask if I can do it for them for free. I look out for people to make sure they are ok. I am a captain of a football team because of my great leadership skills that can be useful. I put effort and time into my work. Around the house I am a role model
Royalton High School follows a 7 period day schedule, 50 minutes class periods, typically 5 days a week beginning at 8:15am and ending at 3:22pm. A regularly scheduled day consists of seven four minute passing periods and a 15 minute homeroom at the end of the day. Homeroom is not considered as a scheduled class, and even though it is not required, it is still beneficial to many students. The sole purpose of homeroom is to inform students of extracurricular activities, scholarships and college visits, the announcements, and reduce class absences.
A student's job is not done after the end of the day. There is always homework that still needs done or checked, editing a paper, studying for the test that is coming up next week, doing their own notes for chapters they read, reading textbooks, and trying to have a social life. They are still trying maintain good grades as best as they can. During all this pressure for freshman year college students tend to forget their roles in the classroom, responsibilities, and having mental and physical impediments for their learning. Students have the constant worries and fears but it still bad when getting yelled at by their parents, teachers, and their school for lack of engagement in the classroom. By helping the freshman year college students, it
Obesity is an increasing problem in the United States, in which “the incidence of obesity among adults in the United States increased by 50% per decade throughout the 1980s and 1990s” (Morrow, Heesh, Dinger, Hull, Kneehans, and Fields, 2016). The current statistics that describes college students as overweight and obese is overwhelming since “38.5%” (Silvestri, and Bonis, 2009) of students are in this category.
Throughout my high school career I have taken several rigorous classes in order to test my academic ability. However, my school has not given me the opportunity to take a particular type of course commonly found at other other high schools around the country: Advanced Placement. Rochester High School does offer thirty-eight honors classes, but these lack the prestige of AP courses. The difficulty and curriculum of an honors course varies by school and by state, so universities cannot fully understand a student’s course load when this type of class appears on his or her transcript, especially when the applicant is from out-of-state.
I am a student who has a passion for helping others. I have been a part of a couple of clubs and organizations in and out of school which focus on helping out the community. There is one in which I have been involved in for four years. I started of as a club member and in the beginning of my third year I was chosen to be the president. Through this club I have had the opportunity to lead a group of students through a pathway of success. I have been able to encourage members to pursue a higher education, and help out their community. We have all been able to work together in several occasions. I have been able to get them to participate in soup kitchens, concession stands during football games, and helping out in the elderly home. Last year our club was able to collaborate with the autism club, and together we helped create a garden.
Developing strong interpersonal skills has been an important subject for me since middle school. Coming into high school, I was a very shy, insecure girl who only had about one or two friends. As a freshman, I felt that it was time for me to break out of my shell if I wanted to get anywhere in life. I firmly believe that joining the Kempner High School Student Council has been the most positive influence on my life. Considering my lifetime goals, overcoming my fear of communicating with new people was something that needed to happen.
In high school, I was very involved with the school’s musical theatre program. I loved to act and sing, and I was pretty good at both, but I never got a part better than being in the ensemble. This was because I was not part of the “privileged” group of students.
When the end of summer approached, I believed I was prepared of what 7th grade was going to throw at me. I was wrong. I had tons of homework. School overall was stressful. The best way to solve this problem was to not procrastinate, it was my main goal this school year. Reducing the amount of time playing on electronics would not only make my school life less stressful, but making my parents happier about me not playing as much as I usually do.
When I think of the word academy, I think of bettering your education on a path that better prepares you for your specific career interests. At an academy that is exactly what I am looking for. My goals for attending an academy, is to take classes that challenge my interests and to come out of the experience, better prepared for the life, I specifically, want to live. I am not looking for your average high school experience. My hope is that the academy system will set me on a path filled with, yes, the average school requirements, but also classes and extracurricular activities that will better my learning in a field that I am actually interested in. When I come out of the academy , my goals are to come out a changed person, to be able to
My parents have said to work hard and do my best in school. I never understood why until I got older. The reason they told me to do my best in school was because they wanted me to think about school and my future. Both of my parents didn't get the chance to go to college. They both came to the United States looking for what most people come to the United States for ‘The American Dream’. They wanted a place where they could raise their children and find a stable job. Well what they had planned didn't work out. They found physically demanding jobs with low wages. I watched as they came home tired and stressed. Even through all the hardships they still maintained a positive attitude. They have pushed me to get better grades and to succeed in school.
In student council there have been many accounts where adults have undervalued students/teens ability and responsibility. Those people are WRONG!.
The restaurant also offers great service and has a variety of different kinds of food, which you can decide on. The guests are
As far back as I can remember, I have always liked going out to eat. Two of my favorite restaurants are Jake’s and McDonald’s. Though both are places to dine they have their differences in their ambiance, waiting, and expense. When deciding where to go to eat, I have three things to think about. I must consider the atmosphere or where I want to go. The amount of time I have is another consideration. The amount of money that I am able to spend is a big influence.
