Veteran To Me

Veteran's Day is a special time. I have family or had family in the service. My Grandpa Harry Iunghuhn was in the Navy. My Grandpa Sir Schweier served in WW1. Now my cousin Emily Fay. She is in the Navy. Veteran's Day to means to honer men and women who have served for our country.

Veterans are important because they have given us our freedom from tyrants for the past 237 years. Vets fought against the oppressors from of England during the War of Independence and the War of 1812. They continue to fight today! The estimated amount of casualties from the War of Independence was around 50,000! That means over 50,000 people died to stop England’s tyranny, in just one of two wars! In attacking Americans in the War of 1812, England sent ten times as many troops in just the last six months, than they had during all the years before. That is how much the greedy British wanted to steal the United States of America from us! Had the Veterans not stood their ground, we would all be French

There have been many great wars in history of The United States of America, and these loyal, hard working and aging soldiers have come to be called veterans. A veteran is someone who has served or is serving in the armed forces. They are honored on November, 11 every year. That's how much they mean to us. We honor them because they risk their lives saving ours. They should be noticed for all their sacrifices. They should also be honored because they help keep freedom in our country. These are three reasons why they should be honored, there are many more because they do so much for us.

Veterans put their life on the line to help defend our country because it’s something they feel they need to do. They are very inspiring people. Most people don’t have the courage to go to war. The men and women who are so courageous are once in a lifetime people who have amazing stories to tell. Our freedom would not exist if it weren’t for veterans.

Veterans sacrificed their lives for us. A lot of those soldiers never thought they would have to actually go out and hurt someone. Throughout the battle a lot of people were really bad hurt and a lot did not make it. A lot gave there arms, and legs for us. They didn’t run away they stood their ground and gave their lives for us. The ones that got hurt or had scars will be the ones you can tell that never ran. Those are the ones that mabey saw others run, but stayed with tears but keep going. For these reasons, we should always be respectful and be glad they did it for us.

Our nation past was, well, not always perfect. Without some of our veterans, our country wouldn’t be as free as it is. Veterans continue to make our country a free country, which also makes it a better place to live in. Veterans stood up for our country; whether the ones forced to go during the draft, or the ones who voluntarily go. Whether the cause, they were always ready to go and fight for the people’s freedom. Throughout US history, many wars and battles were fought that marked America. Fighting within those wars were brave soldiers, which to this day, we know as veterans. Veterans are important to our nation's history and future, as they have contributed to make America the great and prosperous nation that it is today. Veterans, along with other respected groups of people, deserve the nation's uttermost respect for all the contributions they have made to this country known as America.

Veterans are important to our past and future because they help to keep our country free. They fight so we all have the right to freedom. These men and women are important, because they risk their lives every day for the United States of America. Without these veterans in the past we would not have all of the rights and freedom that we have nowadays. If we do not have veterans in the future we may not be the United States of America anymore.

We honor our veterans because every day they put their lives on the line to protect our country; to preserve the freedom of this great land. Without question, without hesitation, these brave people come forth every day to help defend the 350 million people

Those who are veterans are those who fought in the wars and those who leaded the troops. Today we honor those who are no longer with us and those who are. We honor them because they fought and saved us from rivalries that were careless about us but our veterans stood up for us until we were safe. American veterans are amazing people because they have been through more than what most people experience, but some are blessed enough to still be here today to tell their story. On July 28th, 1914, the first war was brought to our world. All because of an assassination. At this time, we thought the only resolution was war and that war would save us. Among the years, we have bounced between different war periods and times where people just want peace. There is a time that we need to fight for our rights and stand up, but there is also a time where we need to stand down and just deal with what is going on.
