In this magazine article journalist’s experimental research, Hill attempts to express how vision and work ethic works together. In his article Excellence: The importance of Vision and Work Ethic it expresses how once for Christmas his son purchased a book for him in the book it spoke on maintaining a vision of life. In addition, this book succeeds in terms of depicting real life situations to young children. As presented in the story, Reed’s father lost his job; thus, causing him to move back in with
Everyone present at the September 11th meeting of the Metcalfe County Board of Education shared in a moment of silence in honor of Harold Chambers, who passed away on September 8th. He was a beloved member of the Metcalfe County School System for many years and will be missed.
If I ever got the chance to sit down and speak to him I would probably tell him how much I loved what an excellent approach he took to writing such a book. As Coates wrote from the persepective of a father to his son, it allows the reader to digest the book a way that feels genuinly sincere. The book is

I think this book says a number of good things about family and friendship, about supporting other people, about working through problems and keeping those you care about close, or in your memories if they're no longer with you. My issue
Maybe the following scenario sounds familiar. Christ Lutheran Church saw significant growth in the late 1970’s. The older members remember those glory days and often dream of recapturing that glory. It was the time in their congregations history that every single program and event seemed to work. Whether is was the Ladies' Aid sewing circle or the men's work day. They were never at a loss for volunteers and the building was abuzz with activity. Now things are different. The Ladies sewing circle is down to a faithful few and younger women are too occupied with work, their careers and trying to keep up with busy sports schedules to have time to sew. You schedule a work day and only Hank and Fred who are in their late 70's show up with their
Throughout my educational career I have learned the importance of a strong work ethic. In middle school I was able to accomplish all of my school work, take advanced classes, maintain grades above a C average, and take part in after school activities without much effort. High School on the other hand, forced me to mature and develop a work ethic to succeed as a student. Maintaining, the same GPA, I balance acting and directing for my school’s theater company, volunteering as a part of the National Honor Society, being involved in International Club and Student Council, working part time at my local library, and excelling in Advanced Placement classes. With so many obligations, sound time management skills are a necessity. Since I learned to succeed with a multitude of responsibilities that once seemed overbearing, I am seeking to challenge myself through an education at Indiana University with a clear and organized approach.

Robert F. Dees, Major General, U.S. Army, Retired, in sharing about leading in times of crisis states, “crisis defines the character of the leader” (Dees, 2013, p.204). He shares three important questions that should be considered by any leading through crisis. “Do you know your soldiers?” “Do your soldiers know your voice?” “Do your troops know you need them?” These key questions are answered through the concepts of leading with vision, Leading by example, and empowering others (page ref??).
