When I was volunteering at Beth Israel, I had done many tasks. Some tasks are new to me. The format in which I am supposed to use for many documents calling employees and helping organize events. One of the strengths I noticed was that I am very organized and I find alternatives when I come along a problem. A weakness I face is when I have multiple tasks I mostly concentrate on one task. I feel like one of the tasks does not give my fullest potential while the other is. The tasks that I have given to me concentrates on all of these skills. I try my hardest to exceed my mentor expectations and my own.

During my time volunteering at Wilmington Health and Rehab and The Woods at Holly Tree, I learned a lot from the experience by talking with the residents and observing. To be honest I was quite nervous when I started to volunteer. Although I’ve been to elder center before because of my grandmother, great grandmother, and volunteering with my church but, I was never around a big group of elder people I didn’t know. After my first day of volunteering I felt a lot more comfortable and it felt rewarding knowing I was able to help make their day. In this essay I will be discussing my experience, any myths or stereotypes that were presented, several theories, and any diversity I observed.

As I entered Mrs. Brown’s room I introduce myself, my role and the reason of being there and asked her how she would like me to address to her. I did recall from a handover that Mrs. Brown has a Clexane which
On 11/17/2017 I received a phone message from Dr. Mendelson’s office as a reminder that Mrs. Raney is scheduled for an appointment on 11/21/17 at 2:50p. I recontacted this office as I had her scheduled for an earlier time. The staff rechecked the physician’s schedule for that day and I was told that she could be seen at 2p. I notified Alimar Transportation of the new time and the nursing facility Cherrywood.

On the last day of a placement block for Nursing clients with chronic conditions at an unnamed Gold Coast Hospital, I was assigned five patients with the supervision of a registered nurse in the orthopaedics ward. With awareness of the environment, I noticed and retained times patients were coming and going from surgery that weren’t assigned to me. On completion of the shift with bag in hand, I walked past an elderly lady in her room whom I remembered had come back from surgery approximately two hours earlier. I noticed she was quite flushed with a slight grimace on
On this clinical day, at the VA hospital, a fellow student and I were assigned the same
