More and more each year we seem to experience what can only be stated as a growing talent shortage throughout all departments of our company; so starting today we will be implementing a comprehensive change to our strategies for finding exceptional talent. According to Winston & Gallagher (2014), a ManpowerGroup report shows that 36% of managers in all industries are reporting a major shortage of the talent pool and have come up with several ideas on how to correct this issue. We are a small city trying to compete with large cities such as Houston, Dallas, and Austin just minutes and hours from our front doors. So starting today we will implement what will be known as the “Woodlands Initiative” that will play off the incredible lifestyle available here in The Woodlands Texas. …show more content…
We will build on all that our great town has to offer to those who live and work here from the incredible downtown river district, to the miles and miles of walking, running, and bike paths throughout the entire town just to name a few. We can highlight the fact that employees of our great company can kayak to work or on their lunch breaks, or push the large number of fine restaurants within walking distance of our front doors. Maybe we have a job fair during one of our towns many festivals or special events and incorporate it into the job fair itself. There are many ways in which we can brand our organization by building off all that there is to offer in our great town, and we need to come up with a comprehensive strategy and implement it
EHRs reduce your paperwork – It reduces the paperwork I have to fill in each time I go into the doctors office. If I am referred to a specialists or another area within the network they already have all of my complete information.
In order to improve the shipping and handling process for the custom surgical packs, I feel that the first step should be evaluating the exact amount of inventory needed for one day operations. Once the exact amount has been accounted for, APH’s management department can use this data to help reduce the quantity of packs in the buffer from one day supply to smaller a number of packs, thus decreasing the expense. This action helps circle back to the main functionary goal of the JIT method, which is the elimination of waste within the company/organization
Nightingale Community Hospital identified a recent sentinel event involving the ambulatory surgical center. A sentinel event is defined as an unexpected occurrence involving death or serious physical or psychological injury, or the risk thereof (http://www.jointcommission.org/sentinel_event). A three year old female presented to the hospital on September 14th for a planned outpatient procedure. The child was accompanied by her mother. The mother registered the patient with the registrar prior to the procedure. The patient and her mother went to the pre-operative area to complete the informed consent and the necessary physical assessment. The pre-operative nurse obtained the necessary contact
On 4/27/2018, I was conducting a business check of 8701 US 19 (Walmart) at which time I was approached by business loss prevention employee, Steven Uliano. As is the case with any type of evidence seizure, what is fair game and what is off limits needs to be identified and set, preferably in writing before any work is done. (Nelson, Phillips, & Steuart, 2015). This ensures that the forensics team will be protected in the worst case scenario where the company could have an issue with what was taken, very similar to the protection ethical hackers require when performing a penetration test (##). Once this list is created, the team will interview the system administrators to provide any information allowed about the systems such as the equipment, system baselines, passwords that are allowed to be shared, and any special information that would need to be known before analyzing the system such as what information is logged and where would it be stored (Rowlingson, 2004). The entire purpose of this information gathering is to paint a clearer picture of the situation so a more detailed plan could be devised prior to any systems being touched.
Answering this question requires knowledge of three terms. The three terms are absolute amounts, materiality, and percentage analysis. The text defines absolute amounts as the absolute dollar amount of a given trend (Edmonds, Tsay, & Olds, 2011). For example, if a company had a net income amount of $400,000 in a given year, it could be reported in its absolute dollar amount of $400,000. The relative importance of the information defines materiality. An item is considered material if knowledge of it would influence the decision of a reasonably informed user (Edmonds, Tsay, & Olds, 2011). For example, a net income amount of $400,000 may be extremely material to a new start-up business; however, a $400,000 expense may immaterial to a 10-billion-dollar company like FedEx. Percentage analysis involves computing the percentage relationship between to amounts (Edmonds, Tsay, & Olds, 2011).
This report demonstrates the current financial situation for the Stratton Township Park and makes recommendations for the annual program budget for the next fiscal year. We first show the current annual budget program, indicating line-item details for each function by account and summarizing the park budget as a whole. Second, we find the break-even points for the golf course green fee and the pool admission to determine what the park would have to charge in order to cover expenses of the these operations. Next, we calculate the marginal revenues and expenses to determine the impact of shutting down certain programs in the park. Lastly, this report prepares the revised budget for the upcoming fiscal year based on our recommendations.
In the State of North Carolina(NC) to be able to obtain a license to practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner the applicant will first will have to hold an active valid Registered Nurse license number from NC or from another compact state (NC Board of Nursing, 2015). The next major step is to complete an accredited Nurse Practitioner (NP) program. Until recently South University was not an accredited school in North Carolina for Nurse Practitioner not only a few months ago the accreditation was obtained. After satisfactory completion of the program the prospective NP will have to apply to the AANC or ACNP for examination to obtain a certification (NC Board of Nursing, 2015). Once the NP passes the board she will have national certification to practice in any state where the Registered Nurse license is active, and she will have to follow the requirement for that state. The board will mail a registration card that will allow the nurse to use the title of NP, but it does not grant the authority to practice. The NP will have to apply for certification to practice (NC Board of Nursing, 2015)
Health rule challenges continue, even as October 1, 2015 looms. Individual insurance benefits fluctuate as employers scramble to control costs, making it increasingly difficult for hospitals and physicians to stay on top of diverse policy provisions and exclusions. Myriad new regulations and mandates for providers and employers also means more responsibility for paying for health care services falls into the hands of patients. Large medical groups and care facilities rely on next generation revenue cycle management (RCM) solutions and medical billing software to automate their workflow and improve reimbursement rates. However, smaller practices and ancillary service providers may still be in the dark about emerging technology and tools to help them control costs without compromising care.

A. Nurse sensitive indicators are factors that are directly impacted by nursing. There indicators fall into three categories; structure, process and outcomes of nursing care. The structure indicators are the organizational piece of nursing care. These relates to the amount of staff on duty at a given time, how many RN's are on duty and experience level of the staff. Consequently, the demand for talent is outstripping the supply. The ability for a firm to create an integrated system that yields a continual flow of talent ready to address specific strategic and operational opportunities may be the single most enduring competitive advantage. While organizations often find that their strategies, products, services, or markets require change, the need to have relevant, differentiated talent to achieve these business goals remains constant (pp. 73-35).
In today 's whirlwind job climate, organizations are seeing a shift in the candidate profile. The rebounding economy, coupled with technological advancements, allows potential employees the ability to leverage their skillset to achieve their desired work situation. Diversity in the workplace climate is growing due to the emergence of the 'shared economy ', in addition to the growing appeal of temporary work situations. In this emerging workforce, workers are looking for autonomy, flexibility, and organizations that they are proud to be associated with . This means that employers are competing more fiercely than year’s prior. Access to top candidates is growing more difficult due to the fact that many employers are not presently engaging workers in all of the workforce arrangements that are currently available. More importantly, candidates with desirable skill sets—particularly in the STEM sector are proving to be a challenge to procure. As the U.S. is experiencing the lowest unemployment rate since 2006 , it is critical for companies looking to secure top talent to engage in a new, robust and holistic talent acquisition strategy. Total talent management, a relatively new concept, is gaining traction, as a solution to engaging today’s best and brightest in the workforce. Simply put, Total Talent Management (TTM) is a talent strategy that focuses on all aspects of work arrangements. The concept of TTM
