Have you ever lost someone very important to you and you didn't want to accept it because you were really close to them? Much like Sal didn't want to accept her mother's death, but eventually she changes. In the novel Walk Two Moons by Sharon Creech, Sal changes internally and externally because she moves and she meets Phoebe and goes through everything with her and she goes on a trip with gram and gramps to see her mom's grave on her birthday. One way that Sal changes internally and externally is by moving out of her childhood home. She changes because she moves to her new house and it is different from her old house Sal was upset because she didn't want to move to the new house out of her childhood home I can infer this because in the book it says “No trees?...This is where we are going to live?” this quote shows that she is unhappy that she is moving because it is not the same as her old home and what she is use to. Another way that Sal changes internally and externally is by meeting Phoebe. Sal changes by meeting Phoebe because she sees and goes through everything with Phoebe and she …show more content…

Gramps knew that Sal wanted to see her mom so he gave her his keys to his car and Sal started driving but like two hours later after driving the cop pulled her over and she had to get in the cop car with the cop. The cop took Sal to her mom's grave. Then the cop takes her home and Sal comes to her senses and realized that she is jealous of three things after she says what she is jealous of she says “I miss my mom.” this quote shows that she accepts her mom's

There are many types of change, change in perspective, emotional change, physically change and world change. In Looking for Alibrandi, the author, Melina Marchetta demonstrates, the concept of change not only through the main character, Josephine, but also some other minor characters such as Michael Andretti and John Barton though the majority is shown through Josephine. The poem, “The Door” by Miroslav Holub is very similar to Looking for Alibrandi as it also shows the concept of change but it tells us that change can mean that anything could happen even if that anything is nothing. Change can be good, it can be bad, change can be anything and it can even start relationships.
Some people adjust to their changing lives better when there is someone there beside them going through the same things. This is what happened for Taylor and Lou Ann. Taylor moved in with Lou Ann when she came to Arizona and they begin to change each others life for the better. Taylor teaches Lou Ann about confidence, and standing up for herself. Lou Ann teaches Taylor how to adjust to her new surroundings in Arizona, and together they form a bond that makes their changing lives easier to tolerate.
Characters change in good ways and the book itself shows the readers how something terrible changes people, even real life. Parents will always say to their little children “little things matter so help”, Mrs.Reffel, also they would told them in desperate measures help anyone that needs it. In The Killing Sea, Sarah was a little brat, she thought that she was the center of attention and didn’t care about anyone, only herself. When the disaster hit Indonesia, where she went for vacation, something in her says, “We need to change to survive”. Sometimes the world needs to lose something valuable to know they have a lot things that they do not say “Thank you” for. Sarah lost her mom, after she saw her mom dead, she changed. She helped Peter and a whole lot of strangers, and when they were going to a conference to know her story, she decided to wear a scarf, because where she is that is their tradition. Remember that you don’t need to lose something that is important in your life to change and help other

Change is an extremely important theme explored in the novel ‘So Much To Tell You’. Several examples of change during the novel are when at the start of the book Marina doesn't want to be
The Walk Two Moons tells the story of Sal which is 13-year-old. Sal is a high-spirited country girl deeply troubled by the loss of her mother 's. She gains strength from spending time in natural settings and from her Native American heritage, and many of her memories and experiences center on trees, rivers, wild berries, and mountains. Although she is rebellious and often skeptical of adults, she is open-minded and deeply compassionate. Beside that she also realized that there was a good reason why her father was not taken to her to Idaho when he got the news of her mother 's death. She understands her father advice and respected as well. Finally he released her to see by herself. She also accepts her father what he did about her mother body death. By the end, Sal was added mature qualities, like tolerance and acceptance and also learns jealousy as well but was not foolish. (Creech 276)
In the novel Walk Two Moons by Sharon Creech the protagonist Sal must go on a journey with her grandparents when her mother unexpectedly leaves her. I can imagine that Sal would have many fears and emotions about this trip. It is unusually for a mother to unexpectedly leave their daughter and not return. Because she left unexpectedly, there are many fears that would arise from unanswered questions such as: Why did her mother leave? Are they in danger? Did she not want her? Is there something wrong with her? Will she be able find her mother? Besides fears and feelings of inadequacy, she would also have feelings of loss, sadness and grief from being separated from her mother. Her grandparents probably want her to go on the trip because

You’re not the same person you were yesterday. You changed, you grew. Be it physically, mentally, or emotionally. And just like you change, so do characters in books. Take Scout Finch from Harper Lee’s fictional novel, To Kill a Mockingbird. At the beginning of the story, she’s 7 and just learning how the world works. She's scared of her reclusive neighbor and never wants to become what society expects her to be: a lady. At the end of the novel, 4 years later, she realizes that her reclusive neighbor is nothing to be afraid of and being a lady doesn't mean that you aren't strong. Scout changes by learning what real courage is, by walking in others shows, and by learning that things aren't always as they seem.
