There are so many things to do in Austin that sometimes the simplest of pleasures are overlooked. While many take advantage of several of the outdoor activities in the Texas capital, Austin bass fishing is often underrated and ignored. However, if you want good, quality bass, there are several area lakes that can produce the results you desire. I pulled in a twenty three inch walleye on a rattle reel with weak six pond test and a small flathead minnow. We took a lot of photos and we had to let it go because it was in the slot size. We looked at the camera to see if there were any more walleye but there wasn't any. So I believe that the netting isn't the only reason that the walleye numbers have been declining but I don't think that it helps the numbers very much. I believe that the netting while the walleye are spawning should either be stopped or they should make them wait until the walleye are towards the end of their spawning and that the DNR should enforce

For example, native bull trout have lost habit after the introduction of invasive fish species to the lower lakes. Another concerning patten that has been observed in bull trout populations is the shift in their spawning habits. Due to changing water temperatures fish no longer swim upstream to spawn, and are instead swimming downstream. Although this is alarming it may serve the fish well in the furture. Many for the areas upstream are expected to dry up, preventing fish from performing the normal spawning cycle.

Ice fishing is such a fun-filled activity. While there are people who find it hard to catch fish on the snowy part of the lake, some people find it very challenging. These people who are up for extra challenge do not mind the difficulty of catching fish from the ice. Ice fishers would also agree that one of the most exciting parts of ice fishing is determining which fishes can be caught under the huge icebergs. Of course, not all the fishes you commonly see in the lake can be caught in ice fishing. There are several types of beautiful fishes that can be seen swimming under the ice.
