Walt Disney; a man of failures and few triumphs, who ended up on top when it came to movie and animation production. When he was interested in design and animation as a career, he quickly realized how little opportunity there was in the fields. He made it work somehow; growing up on a farm in Missouri, then opening a studio with his brother in Hollywood (Disney bio). It was just the first step to his successful animation career. Though he would begin to lead a life of short lived dreams, he became wiser and more knowledgeable through the process. He began to understand the dynamics of the industry, and started to realize that in order for people to notice his work, he would have to make an appeal to the general public.

His first full length film was Snow white and the seven Dwarfs (Disney bio). A colored filmed; he was one of the first ones to make a colored film. He had the patent to use Technicolor for two years, letting him make one of the only color cartoons (Disney web). This was another effect that made Disney well known.
Disney’s dream was starting to happen. His cartoons were starting to get popular, and his dream career was happening, he was starting to understand how to make an appeal to the general public. As he kept making more films more noticed him and his work. Making a success at making highly respected novelty films from what films use to be; black and white(Disney facts). He was nominated for 59 academy awards; he received 22 for his work (Disney bio). At this point Disney’s dream was almost accomplished.

Walt Disney was a very influential man to the entertainment industry. He made animation a whole new type of entertainment. Although Walt went through many struggles and problems, he pushed on and eventually saw results for all his hard work. Many hardships got in Disney’s way such as unsupportive parents and even bankruptcy; Walt pushed on through, always creating, working hard, and persevering to accomplish his dream.
