C.F.W Walther in his first evening lecture concerning the proper distinction of the law and the gospel said, “As Abraham sent Hagar into the desert with a loaf of bread and a jug of water, so the Law hands us a piece of bread and then thrusts us into the desert.” As Paul outlined in verse 30, the blind following of the law does not cause us to inherit the freedom and grace of God, but rather it cause us to be thrown out from the promise of eternal inheritance. In modern America, we do not encounter Judaizers zealously attempting to convince us that the gospel of Christ requires us to continue in the practices of the Old Covenant, but their idealistic spirit remains. Do we ever sit back down in our pews after communion and think to ourselves,
The Crucible was created to described what really happened in these witch trials, and the effects it had on the Colony itself. There was more than 50 men and women accused of witchcraft but less than 20 were hung. The town embraced their trials as a template for their envy of hate.

On Wednesday August 31st 2016 in North Muskegon Michigan, Brittany Miller and six year old son Granderson went shopping at a local grocery store. As they made their way up and down each individual isle Granderson suddenly began making high pitched screeching sounds. Just as some other autistic individuals, Granderson is more sensitive to sound. Therefore as a coping mechanism, Granderson often will imitate the sound of a fire alarm to help him deal with the overwhelming sounds and noise. Miller explains shortly after her son began to display this behavior it was only a few brief moments afterward, that she turned around to find a note that was placed upon her bag that read: “You need to buy that kid a muzzle!!”. His mother expresses that she

A hero has many characteristics, but who should be the judge of what makes a person fit for that role? This is a question that is commonly brought up when debating whether Crispus Attucks should be considered a hero or a disruptor. Crispus Attucks played an important role in events leading up to the American Revolution and because of his courageous acts at these events, Crispus Attucks should be viewed as a hero. To begin, Crispus Attucks was the first African American to die at the Boston Massacre. He was the one that initiated the confrontation and with this courage Attucks began his story as a hero.
Introduction: I’m going to argue that the Basic Argument that Strawson deems infallible has a basic flaw in its logic. Using the logic of the argument siblings, specifically identical twins, would be indistinguishable. One could argue for subtle changes in experience, but I’ll counter that these minute differences wouldn’t be significant.
Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, we gather here today to determine the future of my client, Montresor. Montresor performed an inhumane deed on the night of Fortunato's death. Montresor, however, should not be sent to prison for his actions.
So, Marlowe Stroker (my 15 year old daughter) looks over at me today while watching the news and replay of Trump's (Billy Bush) talk about women and she says, "Are you voting for him?" No, I am not...but, I cannot vote for Hillary, so I will write in Pence's name when I vote. Hillary may win but I cannot vote for either of them. To me,they are both on the level of egotistical, narcissistic and bigoted jerks. Either way, we as a country do not win. However, I will have taken a stand, a very small stand for my daughter and her future, which is so much better than generations before
Racial inequality, excessive punishment, unfair trials, wrongful convictions and improper treatment of children and the mentally ill are just some of the main reasons why attorney, Bryan Stevenson, decided to found the Equal Justice Initiative (EJI).
In March 1857, one of the most controversial events preceding the Civil War occurred. Dred Scott, and his wife had once belonged to army surgeon John Emerson, who bought him from the Peter Blow family of St. Louis. After Emerson died, the Blows apparently helped Scott sue Emerson’s widow for his freedom, but lost the case in state court. Which was because Mrs. Emerson left him with her brother John Sanford. Whose name was misspelled in court papers. He was a New York citizen. Scott sued again in federal court, claiming Missouri citizenship. Scott’s lawyers eventually appealed to the U.S. Supreme Court.
Every state should’ve been like Longtown in the America 200 years ago because Longtown was a free place for everyone no matter their color. Longtown needs to be taken care of the most because it’s the first town where race and color didn't matter. An article published by Washington Post titled “Ohio town holds rare history:Races mix freely for nearly 200 years” and a youtube video called “Vanishing Act” both explains how a town in Ohio was one of the first places to be free of discrimination. According to Washington Post, a descendant of James Clemens who brought the land for Longtown named Connor Keisser stated that in his childhood memories he used to play with cousins that had different skin colors. Longtown was the first place where there
In the reading on Paul’s take on the law it talks about a consistency within his view of the law being that no one, Jew or Gentile, can live up to the law, only Jesus can. We would never be able to live up to the law even without the traditional “eating of the fruit” fall of man, somehow we would have messed it up and needed a savior, that savior being found in Jesus.
Being confident is one of the most important leadership quality to me. I choose Winston Churchill because he was confident in his opinion to Adolf Hitler, that no one should believe or think that Adolf Hitler was being honest. Winston Churchill said that Hitler will not keep his promise and he will do whatever he thinks is right.
Most major arguments of God are rooted in the existence, or lack thereof. However there has been a continuous debate regarding the specific characteristics of God. In this debate, Charles Hartshorne, Alfred North Whitehead, and other the processed theologians oppose Anselm, Augustine, and other classic theologians. Although there are many points of disagreement, there are some characteristics for which both sides can agree upon. I will show one strong point of agreement and one strong point of opposition, and allow you the opportunity to decide for yourself how different, or similar, these two camps are.
