selections. Think about what song resonates with the story you tell and weave that song into your text.
LaCresha woke up this morning having sharp pain and unable to walk. She figured it was just that time of the month so she continued her daily routine preparing for school. The months before this day LaCresha had figured she was pregnant, but all the symptoms had went away. As she continues to get ready for school the pain comes and goes. She makes as call telling her mother she does not think she will be maybe to go to school. Her mother tells her to put a hot towel on her stomach and the pain should go away. LaCresha listens to her mother’s advice which indeed was very helpful. Now LaCresha gets on the bus and goes to school. She has this song in her head brighter day by Kirk Franklin. She sings the

I can't imagine my life without you It's like paradise now I know that it's real (um) It's a mystery for someone to give their life just for me What you did on Calvary Makes me wann love you more” (Franklin). This verse always helped LaCresha get through a tough day. As she finally reaches the building she starts to feel the sharp pain again. She hurry’s up to eat breakfast so she does not be late for her first period. Her first class of the day was dance before the class started LaCresha told the teacher she was having really bad cramps, but the teacher said dancing will help you feel better. LaCresha went into the locker room to change into her dance attire, but once she went to the restroom she was bleeding heavily a class mate have her some cramping pills to ease the pain. Once LaCresha got back in to studio to start the dance routine she passed out. The same classmate that was concerned about her in the locker room took her to the nurse. Once she arrived at the nurse’s office she checked LaCresha heart and blood pressure which were both down.
The song that I chose to write about is “Now that we’re men” by Spongebob sSuarepants, The main topic in this song is that two young males have taken on a big challenge to prove that they are good enough to be called men. In this song Spongebob and Patrick are both going after the crown that Plankton stole from King Neptune. A few of the best quotes in the song are; “Get the crown save the town, and Mr.Krabs”, “ we’re tough enough to save the day now that we’re men, “they’ll pass the test and finish the quest for the crown”. The first quote is powerful because it shows how much them stepping up is meaning to the whole town and Mr.Krabs. The second quote is very meaningful because it is telling the listeners that once you become a man there
This novel takes place primarily in the city of Charlottesville, Virginia, during the period of the 1980s to the 2000s. Renee and Rob both met there in a bar named the ‘Eastern Standard’ both at the age of twenty-three. He initially planned to keep his relationship to Charlottesville strictly one of host and guest. Both he and Renee didn’t really favor Charlottesville. Then life had another plan for Rob and it was to fall in love. The setting was also a crucial part in the story because it was a music thriving environment at the time and in Charlottesville. Also, it shows that it greatly influenced the connection that Renee and Rob made with each other. The setting
She Loves Me Review By: Jacob Turner Preceding each and every performance associated with this theatre class, I have continually needed to keep an open mind about what we’re watching. Whether it is the plays in the performing arts center or productions shown in the classroom, I’ve never known where to set expectations for myself. Some of the productions I have viewed this semester have been wonderful to watch, while others unfortunately have only been slightly short of disappointing. From the opening scene of She Loves Me, based on the original play written by Miklos Laszlo, I had higher hopes than normal for the production. Musicals have consistently been the majority of exciting productions as they enhance my love for music, so when I was
For my creativity project I created a book soundtrack. My book is We Were Liars by E. Lockhart. I got to illustrate a Google slide show that connected some of my favorite songs to the conflicts in my book We Were Liars. The three main conflicts I exhibited were the tense relationships of character VS character, internal struggles of character VS self, and social pressures of character VS society. This choice allowed me to have a deeper understanding of the book.
“Why? Why? Why? Why life always leave person lonely in darkness Tom?” University Chris asked Tom his friend. He guessed this would be a new beginning… The beginning of a new world… But it was the beginning of wiping his tears forever and get through the pain Heli has given him. The girl who promised him to be with him forever but today kissing another guy in front of him in their red car perceived him “There is no easy walk to freedom anywhere” because a girl who was with him since grade four, shared every problem with him but sadly tearing him apart today. Ultimately, both sat on the table silently with their lunch, when suddenly Heli comes to him. “Hey Chris, what is going on? Um... I need to tell you something…” said Heli. Tom stood up and left in anger silently because of Heli and 19 years courage less guy said “Yes Heli come sit; what happened?” Heli was rubbing her hands, while gazing at the security guard holding a gun.
I have chosen to do two songs waiting on a woman by Brad Presley witch the whole song makes a gender stereotype about woman always making a man wait. The second song I choose to do is George Straits A fathers Love which enforces it’s hard to be a father and what a good strong dad role model is. Both songs spoke to me in different ways.
The most effective way to pass along information and stories is through books and songs. Both mediums are valuable in the way that they convey knowledge to their audience through the stories they tell, whether the knowledge is facts or morals. The listener or reader is then inspired by the words and lyrics to think further into the moral of the story that the authors are trying to portray. This leads to more knowledge being acquired and more questions to be asked. After reading many books and listening to many songs throughout my lifetime, there has always been one question nagging in the back of my head; How do the authors get their inspiration for the lessons they choose to convey? Furthermore, do the processes differ from author to songwriter because of the medium that they are writing in?
This movie is about a little boy and girl that grow up together; they fall in love with the game of basketball and each other. They didn't really get along as they grew up because the boy, Q, didn't think it was ok for girls to play ball. They go through a series of trials and they separate and find their way back to each other. In the end he realizes she is the one for him. This is seen in our society today because when you do something you love, there are others that love it to. These two characters have that connection between the two of the one thing that they love. They didn't let "love for the game" stand in the way of "true love".
The song “Where Is The Love” by the Black Eyed Peas is a very heartfelt prayer for the healing and suffering in the world and society that we live in. I feel like the song is about exactly what the title is asking. Where is the love? Sometimes we have to stop, look around us and think about the relationships we have with other people. Are our relationships built on foundations of true love, compassion and kindness? Although the songs was originally released in 2003, most of the issues the song focuses on are still relevant today, in 2017. Which really makes me wonder, where IS the love? Surely after 14 years, things would have changed. Hate and war have existed since the beginning of humanity. Crime is an enormous part of our society, in the past and in the present. Imagine a world that is crime free, the perfect utopia. A world where everyone accepts their neighbour for the person they truly are, without racism, without judgement, without oppression. “Where is the love?” recognizes chaos in a broken world, intoxicated with violence and hate.
A girl named Janet always had the dream of becoming famous and being a star with singing. She has an amazing voice, is extremely pretty, is an emaciated person, but never the less she is loved by many. She had a cousin who was a famous singer and her name was Barbara. Barbara invites Janet to come to her concert that is happening the next night so that she could see what it is like to be a famous singer and can someday be just like her famous cousin telling Janet that it is usually docile when it comes to singing on a huge stage. Janet was so excited she could not wait to go but what Janet didn't know is that Barbara had a surprise planned for her. When the night come Barbara shows up in front of Janet's house in a huge limo and tells Janet the surprise, which was that she would be going backstage with Barbara and would be doing everything that she does maybe even getting to go out on the stage with her. When they got there everything seemed like a dream to Janet. This is
The song that I chose was Bingo. This song was chosen because it was one of my favorite songs as a child to sing. When preparing for this son I was to pick out visual aids that help me teach the class the song. The visual aids was helpful for me and the students as we song each parts of the song. It helps them follow along with the pictures as they were singing. The visual aids that were used to teach the song were different pictures that represented the song and a dog puppet to remember what the song was about. The dog helped represent that the song we were going to be singing was about a dog name Bingo. The pictures described the order of the song so the students would be able to follow along. The song method that was chosen was phrase method. The reason why this method was chosen is because the song was long and needed to be broken down. The phrase method allows for the song to be broken down so the students are able to learn the song better. This gives the students the time to focus on one part at a time. The students can take their time learning a song using the phrase method.
Inspiration can strike at any time, so always be prepared to document your idea. This is where the recording device comes into play. The Inspiration usually comes in the form of a melody. When a melody hits you, its important to record it as soon as possible. There’s nothing worse than coming up with a great melody while sitting on a train, or driving in rush hour traffic, and having no way to document it, so be prepared! Don’t be afraid to hum the melody into your recording device, or sing it in gibberish. At this point, words are not important. Next, you need to build upon the melody. Decide what sort of vibe this melody portrays, and stick to it! Is it sad, happy, angry? Then use your instrument of choice, a guitar in my case, to make a sample melody for the song. I use the words “sample melody” because It will be subject to change, depending on the lyrics and structure of the song.
The plot center around Jamie, a 25-year-old, American male who moves to Paris where he meets a girl named Clementine. The musical begins at the end of the story—Jamie is being chased down and the man chasing him catches up to him and punches him in the back of the head. Jamie lies unconscious and dying in the street. As the musical begins and he’s being chased down, the suspense is built up with the songs “Love Like a Sunset Pt. 1” at the end of this “Pt. 1” is where he’s punched and “Love Like a Sunset Pt.2” beings and Clementine is holding him dying on the street right by where they met and singing to him “Visible horizon, Right where it starts and ends/ Oh, when did we start the end?” (Phoenix, Love Like a Sunset Pt.2”) then she looks at the audience and sings to them “visible illusion. Oh, where it starts it ends. Love like a sunset” (Phoenix, Love Like a Sunset Pt.2”) breaking the fourth wall telling them the beginning is actually the end of the story.
The song I chose for my english poetry assignment is called “Ghost” by American Authors. I chose this song because it helped inspire me to be active and positive. The song “Ghost” gives me a chance to look back at my past mistakes and how I can prevent them from happening more than once. The song helps me relax as I walk by 24 hour fitness, Mills High School, or any other place in downtown Millbrae. The band called American Authors has a variety of different songs to listen to like “Best day of my life,” “Hit it” or “Believer.” But my favorite song by American Authors is “Ghost” because it was my first song by this band and that I started to like watching ghost shows like Danny Phantom. The reason it made me think of Danny
“Endless Love” is about a boy named David who has had an eye on Jade since the first time he saw her in the tenth grade. Until after their high school graduation, David has never spoken to her until her family pulls up to the restaurant, where David works as a valet. The movie feels like Nicholas Sparks fan fiction as David, who has no plans beyond valeting at the local country club and working as a mechanic in his dad’s shop, falls for Jade, that is bound for college and a summer internship. Jade and David fall madly in love, but as her parents try to bring their relationship to a halt, their love only grows stronger. Sparks fly instantly and the two become inseparable for the rest of the summer, to the undeniable disapproval of Jade's father. His overprotectiveness comes from his grief over the loss of Jade's superstar older brother a few years back, he can't imagine the thought of losing his daughter as well. And looking back, David might have reminded the father of his lost son. This is supposed to be a film about the agony of teenage first love, but it's awfully tasteful and emotionally detached in its blissed-out depiction.
