War On The Second World War

Dating to the beginning of civilization, war continues to be a repeating occurrence in the world whether it be with oneself, society, or the outside influences in the world. In terms of war between countries, there is the growing controversy over its utilization and purpose when a country is predisposed to a situation foreboding unavoidable conflict. War is the only solution to certain situations but cannot be considered a panacea to all the issues prevalent in the world. The reasoning behind this is that war produces consequences some of which that are permanent. War has always spawn more conflict, gives disfigurement to human bodies, death and occasionally affects the state of one’s mind in areas such as mentality, emotions, rationality

War is a horrible thing that comes out of hatred in people’s hearts and produces tragedy around it. War comes and goes but in its path are people who have to suffer through the hardships it brings. Two of the most notable aspects of war is that war is a fight for power and that produces loss of family.

Throughout history, war has always been described as an atrocity and an unnecessary reason for the loss of life. This is not the case. War is necessary for the survival of the economy, the sustainability of non-renewable resources, and the progression of inventions.

Throughout the Nazis’ reign they employed many different types of propaganda to lure the public to their views and ideals. Propaganda lurked in even the most innocent of places waiting to entrap the unsuspecting mind and often targeting the young men of Germany. The Nazis use of propaganda was meant to appeal to the public through a sense of nationalism and fear of enemy nations. The propaganda was tailored to the public preexisting opinions and prejudices. These aspects along with the Nazis opportunistic style of propaganda made for a dangerous trap that threatened to ensnare all of Germany. The Nazis used opportunistic propaganda to convince a nation to follow in their ideals and actions.

In 1914, a war began that would turn into one of the deadliest combats in all of human history. A war that was fought between two alliances named the Triple Entente, consisting of Russia, France and Great Britain, and the Triple Alliance, which consisted of Germany, Austria-Hungary, and Italy. One of the reasons the war was so deadly was because many of the commanders and generals did not develop the tactics at the rate at which the weapons had progressed. Artillery and Machine Guns would decimate anyone who came over the edge of a trench, leading to millions of deaths. The old style of face-to-face trading fire combat had become obsolete due to the invention of the automatic and semi-automatic weapon. A single gun could now kill or injure

World War II was a period in history which contained a motley of quarrels and conflicts. General Dwight David “Ike” Eisenhower played a significant role in the theatre of World War II. In the conflict, General Eisenhower served not only as a 5 star general in the the United States Army, but also served as the Supreme Commander of the Allied Forces in Europe. As a _____ leader, General Eisenhower coined the historical term “military-industrial complex”, and also led several pivotal conflicts(??) throughout the course of the war, some of which include the invasion of North Africa in Operation Torch (1942-1943) and the invasion of France and Germany from the Western Front in Operation Overlord (AKA D-Day).

Most people think D-Day is a day that we freed France. This is true , however, there is much more to it. Many soldiers deceased, and people lost loved ones. One of the bloodiest battles in World War II was on June 6, 1944 on Omaha , Juno, Gold,   Sword, and Utah beaches to free France from the Nazis ' and make them surrender.(D-Day by Martha Brack Martin) People have been told that the cause of the war was because Hitler believed in the perfect race. This may be true, but others have different reasons. Dwight D. Eisenhower entered the war to help plan for D-Day and lead them into the war. He was responsible for the whole thing. Franklin Roosevelt may have helped and same with Winston Churchill.

From piles of bodies in no man’s land to Jewish death camps, the level of violence found within World War I and World War II was extreme even for wartime standards. These experiences shaped generations to come through the memories passed on by those who lived through such atrocities. Both Ernst Junger and Art Spiegelman carry on these memories through the book Storm of Steel and graphic novel Maus. Their pieces both give glimpses into the lives of the past and the violence in which those individuals endured. Their portrayal of WWI and WWII parallels the respective authors’ understanding of the nature of each war’s violence, and their ownership to that memory. Furthermore, their emphasis on a particular portrayal of violence serves as a platform to compare WWI and WWII.

During World War I and World War II life back home changed excessively. When the soldiers went to fight in World War 1 and World War 2, women and children had to replace men in the workforce. There was an increase in those affected by the trauma of the wars, and the birth-rates dropped during this time.

War is a reality many people must face every day. War can bring out the best in people, and unfortunately the worst. This pit of war can render people inescapable and powerless. This pit of war affects the decisions people make, and this horrid pit torture and blind the mind to see life in the true colors of black and white.

War is a necessary part of human nature. War has always been a part of countries and nations history. Militarism in countries , people who are nationalist extremist showing their aggression towards other countries. War is a necessary part of humanity because people naturally view others as ‘Us and them’, people being patriotic,nationalist or extremist causing tension between nations of the world.

Going through the different levels of the educational system most everyone has talked about the Second World War in great detail. The European and Pacific Theaters were the main focus of many historians and their writing, because war pertained to the audience of the time. WWII revolved around the idea of freedom and liberating the fascist governments of Europe, the homefront back in the states was the war machine that kept the war churning. Millions of pages have been written about the experiences and battles during WWII, and still continue, not much in the way of the American homefront history has been written.

Most people have had a problem with someone, some might refer to it like a war. War by definition is generally characterized by extreme aggression, destruction, and mortality. However, for forty-four years a war that would scare millions around the world occurred. This war was not all brutality, it was arguments that would change the world forever. This war was known as the Cold War.

“One death is a tragedy, one million is a statistic.”- These words were spoken by Joseph Stalin after the largest and bloodiest battle in human history, Stalingrad. The eastern front of World War II was one the bloodiest single war of all time. Once the Germans invaded the USSR they did not know they had unleashed the Soviet storm. During Russia’s great patriotic war, the battles of the eastern front led to the downfall of the German Reich.

Humanity was forever changed after the wars of the 20th century. World War I and World War II are known for the millions of military and civilian lives they took away. Horrific words such as concentration camps, slave labor and genocide are linked to the wars. They are also credited to causing nations to rapidly come up and develop brilliant new inventions, warfare tactics and revolutionary ideas that are still playing intricate roles in modern day societies. Both of these wars were accredited to the implementation of new technology and weapons. Many treaties and agreements were drafted, written and implemented in the aftermath of the war and reconstruction plans were carefully put together. The world famous war
