Warm words fall deaf upon a fractured heart The memory keeps its meaning until death allows it to fade Her eyes always spoke to me, her "everlasting" presence; my souls imagination Her gentle lips entice curiosity Through her I found shelter, Her welcoming presence sheltered my trust Her spirits joy; my hearts content The moon rise and night fall always brought dreams of holding her, I love her She moves to a song that repeats endlessly in my being I miss her more than ever Its not or never will be the same I lay, still, in bed, I call her name, her absence controls me I reach out desperately All i can grasp are shards of memories Her kisses rose me to the peak of self discovery and compassion When she held my hand I was carefree When
It all began with a simple phone call one night after dinner. “John,” my father hollered up the stairs, “It’s for you. It’s Jackie, and she sounds distressed.” As I came down the stairs to pick up the phone, I was not happy. I was tired and had looked forward to a nice quiet evening at home, not another stupid adventure with Jackie.

The dim lights of morning glow through the crystalline curtains. Like everyday, I smelled the nauseating stench that leaks from my mouth. I sit in the uncomfortable chair that my wife never replaces because she is always “working”. It’s Monday, so I would rather stay in slumber. My wife is making meatloaf with the dreadful peas that change the dish’s aroma to muck. All she does is work and never pays attention to me. The woman is honestly nothing to me. Suddenly, an idea struck me. I shall kill her at the time of saturday's supper. On the day of Tuesday, she laid out a tie which flooded me with anger. Why does she want me to get a job so bad? She constantly jabs me to get a job, but she already has enough jobs for us to keep the house.
It had been over six months since our last embrace. Six months of tears and loneliness. Love, appreciation, heartbreak, desperation, grief... mixed together within the soup of my emotions! Yet, somehow I wasn’t even surprised to see my recently deceased husband visiting me in the middle of the night. Handsome as always. He was vaguely translucent. Although, I could clearly see his familiar, comforting smile while his yearning eyes reassured me. I felt the deepest form of love emanating from his heart into mine. He never spoke. Yet, in the silence, he communicated the reason for his visit.
Booker arrived at the chapel early Monday morning, keen to get his debriefing with Tom over with as quickly as possible. He was professional enough to know he needed to put his disappointment to one side and concentrate on their assignment, but the sting of Tom’s rejection still lingered. He thought they’d made a connection, and he’d looked forward to building a solid friendship with the shy officer. But despite a promising start, he realized he now had no choice but to accept what Penhall had told him. Tom was weird, and his mercurial temperament made it impossible to break down the barriers that kept him at arm’s length. Whether Will was responsible for his brother’s character traits or not was still open for debate, but as far as Booker
Adrian pushed his thick glasses back into place with a finger, as they had slid down his nose during the tussle. "It is unprofessional to smile while on duty; these are human's souls I deal with and it would be disrespectful.” "You take your job far more seriously than your fellow reapers." The demon said, rising to his feet and giving the red wings a mighty shake, scattering mud from their feathers. "Hasn't anyone ever told you to loosen your tie before? Perhaps if you did you could think clearly and learn to relax.” Adrian wanted to step back as the demon moved toward him again, but he stood his ground, shielded by his weapon.
Maggie was out of town for the next two weeks at a law enforcement conference across the country.
Sick fate, twisted punishment for something they must have done in order to wind up somewhere so terrible as this cement prison. Humans were cruel… Poking and prodding at open wounds and making new ones were old existed. It felt like years in this personal hell. Most of the time the young creature stayed tucked in the very corner as far as he could get from the outside for it was the inside for them. Fear dripped from his body in waves nearly as thick as syrup. He was scared and he had every right to be. Watching them murder so many… The images have haunted him since the night it had happened. Blood… Gunshots… Thoughts eased into his mind like a bad dream, making everything a dark place he couldn’t hide from. Mother… Father… People
His relationship with Hazel was finally going somewhere, and he couldn’t be happier. It might even be better than winning this week’s tournament. And that meant a lot, considering what Beyblade meant to Shu. The shock had worn off, and today he felt more energetic and motivated than ever before. His next match, the semifinals, were tomorrow. He was facing off against Orochi Ginba and his Omni Odax. He wouldn’t forget the promise he made to Valt. They would meet in the finals no matter what. Nothing could stand in the way of Shu when he made a promise, and that was final.
Lincoln found a convenient wall to lean against for a few moments. He had to plan his next move. This was a typical process for a trained agent. He focussed on the main objectives he was sent there for in the first place. Find where this group is operating from. Find who runs it and where they were getting their weapon supplies from. Also how they were being funded. Once done, the AST and the other agencies can step in and eliminate them all. If his spy drone works and the local intel is correct, the first two objectives are almost met. So Lincoln’s current objective was to make sure his drone was working. Once that was confirmed, then get to the Government Headquarters where he first was met and contact the AST. The main problem with that
Among other public buildings in a certain town this building was the one at the end of the gravel road and through the dark creepy forest where little dare to go down , which for many reasons it will be prudent to refrain from mentioning the screams you can hear from a half a mile away, or the blood stains all over the walls the shattered windows that make a faint whistle when the wind blows , and to which I will assign no fictitious name and the clown they call Pennywise this creature that rarely comes out of the shadows, there is one anciently common to most towns, great or small: to wit, a workhouse ; and in this workhouse was born a devil child and the one who is in charge; on a day and date which I need not trouble myself to repeat,
Long, slender fingers pushed a delicate pair of reading glasses further up the bridge of the doctor's nose as the eyes behind the lenses scanned over the papers held in his other hand. It was an important day for those that worked at Maternity Enterprises, but unfortunately that also meant that it was a busier day than normal. Nurses and orderlies were going from the labs to the offices to the exam rooms to get everything prepared for the upcoming appointments. The childcare staff were trying to keep their charges in line while simultaneously trying to gussy them up for the party later that evening. A number of other staff members were actively setting up for said party, and the doctors, himself included, were busy preparing for the
This story is going to be about a woman who tried her best at something that no one else in her family tried to do. To those who knew her, she was a stubborn woman who didn't like to determine her life based on what others wanted her to do. She led her own way through life, she had moments where she made mistakes but she learned and carried on in life. This is the story of a family woman from Ewa Beach who wanted to further her education for her family.
The next day the bustle of servants could be heard as they dragged decorations into the ballroom.
At some point in life we have all asked ourselves or have been asked what our reactions would be to endure a life altering tragedy. Some believe that they could never live through it and others naïvely think that life will continue is normal, taking for granted all the things in life a tragedy can take away from us. There are all kinds of tragedies in life, some people overcome them and some will give up, surrendering to the statistical fact that has been laid out for them. I personally know someone who beat his odds at life’s unexpected traumatic events, my husband Keith. Let me walk you through his remarkable story.
