Was Abraham Lincoln The Stronger President?

Abraham Lincoln saved America: “ He led the Union to war so that he could stop the southern states from being separated from the United States,” ( Eduardo) ( Hatfield 3). Without Abraham Lincoln America may have divided and collapsed. Therefore, people can thank him for saving us through his fearlessness leadership. After Lincoln was killed, people mourned over their president: “ Tens of thousands of Americans lined the railroad route and paid their respect to their fallen leader,” (History.com) ( Hatfield 4). Because of Lincoln’s noble actions and bold leadership, people were dramatized after he had been killed. Lincoln’s valor actions showed why he was a fearless leader; thus, he it was very unjust to kill such a prominent leader. The first reason that President Lincoln was the best president I because he broke the chains from the slave. With out this movement,, our society would not be nearly as developed as it is today. Lincoln took the first step in making equality a reality for African Americans and minorities. Without this first step, this country would still be in the process of making equality.

Lincoln did alot in his short stint as president, he really made an impact and changed America forever. Lincoln had alot of strenghts and little weakness. He showed his great leader ship, through the civil war and was able, to keep his country together.

So with that being said I think that Abraham Lincoln would be the stronger leader because think about what he was thrown into when he entered office the country was comming apart and he put it back togather again so thats why i think Lincoln would be a stronger leader.

Lincoln did many great things throughout his presidency, which is why this was a critical election. After Lincoln was elected, the South began to separate from the union. This produced the Civil War. Lincoln also is considered to be our best president. This is precisely because how he approached the war, the Gettysburg Address, and the Emancipation Proclamation. Lincoln did a magnificent job being a president.

Other people might believe that there are better American war heroes or technological advances in the United States; I personally believe Abraham Lincoln was one of the greatest because he changed America for the better through one of the toughest times of war for America, and he put his strong mind into ending slavery.

George Washington and Abraham Lincoln both accomplished tremendous things but are also surrounded by myths and legends which make them seem to be better than they really were. Lincoln was a vampire slayer and Washington threw a silver dollar over the Potomac River. Although, Washington and Lincoln were two of the greatest leaders in American history, Washington had more military experience, did more for the nation as a whole, and helped bring America together, which proves that Washington was a better president.

The great question is: Which of these three was the strongest? I believe Lincoln to be the strongest president, because of his aid to the United States during the Civil War, his abolishment of slavery in America, and his contribution to make permanent the freedoms of minorities and their citizenship in America, through the Emancipation Proclamation, not to mention the amendments that passed following his death. Creating a government from ruins, having it destroyed and building it back up again, is something only mentally strong people such as Lincoln could do.
