The class size of Washington State University is what first led me to inquire more about the program. Being from a small school with small class sizes I was delighted to find a veterinary program with the same aspect. The hands on experiences WSU offers right away because of the access to the hospital influenced me to apply. The best part in deciding to apply to WSU was the well roundedness of the program. I felt like in deciding to apply to Washington State University I was deciding to take a chance at enhancing many facets of my life.
Santa Clara University, University of Washington and Fresno State University all have wonderful programs, and all have beautiful campus. Pediatricians, registered nurse, and veterinarian all relate due to the fact that they all focus on a certain type of medicine. As stated before I enjoy playing and bonding with kids. With this it lead me to becoming a pediatrician because they work more with kids than a registered nurse, let alone a vet. Many skills that a pediatrician should have is the ability to speak to families, they have to be able to learn many new things, and have patience as well as kindness. I believe I have those qualities, and I will try my best to learn new things each day. Choosing a school can be arduous because there can be many things to take into consideration. When I choose a school I list the pros and cons. With
I chose NDSU because I feel like I was pretty well acquainted with the campus during my time in high school. Each summer, for FFA, my chapter, along with others from across the state, spent a week here competing in different agricultural competitions. Also, I talked with alumni from this nursing program, and they all said it was set up very well, and also put them on a track to getting a good job afterwards. When I came for a tour earlier this spring, I got to hear a speech from the Dean of nursing, and I just sort of felt like this was the right place. On a side note, I like being here because of the agricultural side of NDSU as well, even if I’m not necessarily going into a field pertaining to it. It seems more like home to me, when the person next to me, going into Vet Tech, rides horse as much as I did.
When I go off to college I plan to go to a college that fits me. College is important for anyone’s career, and I want to be successful. That is why the university I attend has to feel right, and inspire me to succeed. Washington University in St. Louis does that for me. WashU makes me challenge myself, and ensures me that it is the perfect place to go. Some of the university’s great qualities include their majors, the location, and the community.
When I originally was registering my class choices for the Fall 2016 semester, I considered English 111 to be an undemanding course that I could pass without a lot of effort on my behalf. I had no trouble passing prior English courses, years ago, so I felt this course would be similar. What I had not anticipated was how much I honestly could learn, such as: how you should properly cite sources, how you should suitably prove your thesis and how you can accurately set up the flow of a paper. Although, the most informative part of English 111, for me, has been absorbing all the information on the different styles of papers that can be written. I believe that recognizing the usefulness of distinctive varieties of papers will help me throughout
I am applying to the UWM, because it's a large school with outstanding credentials, a strong community and lots of school spirit. This is exactly what I'm looking for for in my college environment - a large population where I can meet new people every day, get involved in many activities, and build relationships with my professors. I also look forward to living in snow again - I moved from Denmark to California a few years ago, and I miss the winter weather!
The main reason is it’s location, it's in the same state I live in so tuition is lower and it's not a far trip away from home. Another reason is the track record for the school it has one of the highest veterinarian programs in the country. The school has all the right tools to help become the best veterinarian.
I have come to the decision that Washington State University is the college that I am most interested in. After filling in the college chart table, I am pretty certain that this is the right college for me, and the only one I really want to go to. There are certain factors that affected my decision making process when the time came to choose a college. These factors include but are not limited to: location, majors and minors, scholarships, graduation and acceptance rate, and campus life.
Through National Honor Society, I was connected with the Literacy Network and was given the opportunity to tutor students at Carson Elementary, a local inner city school. Tutoring at Carson is the most gratifying moment of my week and I always leave feeling that I've made an impact on a child's life.
Hi! Let me introduce myself. I am Marley Bangert, I will be a senior next year at Madeira High School, and next year I will be taking CP English Twelve. Throughout this past year in American Literature I learned that a lot can change in a school year. So much about my writing skill and my reading comprehension has improved throughout these past 9 months.
I have been in National Honor Society for a few months now and have participated in a couple of community service projects. The community service project that I'm most proud of and has had the most significant takeaway for me is when we helped gave food and clothes to the people that stayed in the community. Taking Care of Our Own Day is an event where people come and get clothes and food for the family. As a volunteer I helped carry people's bags of food while they went around looking for what they needed. This event is done yearly and each year we have more people that come and receive our charity. This experience affected me in a great deal. It not only showed me that I was blessed for having food to eat and clothes to wear but also that
When the first epistle of Peter was written, being a Christian was something that was very hard to do. It was even difficult for the author because of the problems they faced. But as Christians, it is our duty to do good things. Yes, we are not perfect, yes we all sin; but we try out best to do what is right. Though sometimes bad things happen to good people. Look at Jesus. He did what was right and abided by God and in the end, he got crucified.
For four long years I felt as if my high school was in a different world in of itself. I had spent that time interacting with an extensive amount of groups, or “cliques”, and getting to know what they do. Through my experiences, I had begun to realize what made this “subculture” high school of sorts run like it did. High school is an incredibly dynamic time for people, and I had changed as a person dramatically from my freshman to senior year. Like many, my freshman year was quite awkward, as remnants of my middle school self remained with me. As time went on, how, I talked to more people and grew out of my passive and shy personality. This did not just randomly happen without reason though. I began to learn and realize who I was and whom I enjoyed talking to in school, which explained why I spent so much time socializing with multiple kinds and groups of people. Everyone’s concept of “normal” was different, and high school was where I learned that lesson and will never forget.
Every fourth-year teacher trainees will have to conduct practicum and will work under the guideline of their associate teachers and supervisors. The purpose of doing the practicum are to put training into practice, to become accustomed to teaching in the tertiary school settings, and to develop and expand each trainee’s teaching expertise and confidence. In the following paragraph, I will express what I have learnt from doing practicum to reflect on my past teaching strengths and weaknesses from the teaching practicum.
My first semester as a college freshman is finally coming to an end. This semester has been the start to a new chapter in my life and I am glad to have finally finished my first semester on a high note. Coming into college I never knew what things would be like and how would I adjust. All I knew is that I wanted to succeed and eventually graduate college. The courses I have taken this semester have had big impact on my learning and my future. Assignments that taught skills and lessons to be used in the future. I have learned skills such as being able to collaborate in groups because of projects in ASU 150.
To start off this reflective statement, I would like to first discuss how I revised my piece. When I finished my first draft, I had two stories, the first being about a change of fate (Wheel of Fortune) and the second being about a past excursion (A Trip). However, after being workshopped, I realized that I had to focus on one of the stories. As such, I took into consideration what my peers thought that day and decided to expand upon my second story, originally titled “A Trip”.
