Some of the embarrassing moments in our lives are worth recalling while others are so disgusting that no one would wish to recall or even be associated with them. That day will forever remain in my mind. I can recall with nostalgia an incident, which took place five years ago. Back at home, my parents would reward my brother and me for the good grades we scored in the term papers. On this one occasion, my mum rewarded me with two hundred dollars for the good grades in the end year papers. In order have fun; I decided to invite my best friends to a hotel for lunch. On arrival at the hotel, I told my friends to order as much as they wished to take. One after another, they placed their orders and immediately the waiters swung into action and …show more content…
Ever since that day, I ceased to going to that hotel. I have this fear that some of the waiters might recall my countenance. It was the most embarrassing moment of my life.
Since the events of that day, my friends have always made jokes regarding that fateful day and would all laugh at it. The other day when I was going to the cinema I met with an old good friend of mine who was there when all that happened while on summer vacation. We reminisced for quite sometime and he offered to buy me a drink. We hurriedly entered the hotel nearby only to find other two childhood friends. It was a fantastic but strange twist of events as we further talked about the good old times. Food and drinks were served and we started eating, as we talked oblivious of who had served us.
When we had spent some good time inside there, we rise up to go when the bill was placed on the table. The waiter was anxiously waiting for the money. My friend got the money and it was only while he was paying that we realized it was in this same hotel and the same waiter who had held us at ransom. She also was recalling but this time she managed to smile at us. We looked at each other and all we could do was to laugh it was just fabulous. It is amazing how sometimes life can
WOW! We were zipping through the darkness, on the fastest roller coaster in Disneyland,THE MOUNTAIN OF DOOM, at first ,I was terrified (No really I was going to jump of my pants)to go on the ride some guy got his hands cut off[like omg], and for a long time I was terrified. Now, I was on the most fantastic ride in Disney. Finally ,I can brag to my friends. After, I got off me and my mom got some corn dogs and Ice cream, and it was so cold and Delishis, butt out know where one of the seagulls got my Ice cream I was so mad I tried to catch the bird and then BAM it flew away.
While reading I start to relive that night and opening my door to my boyfriend, hidden behind a giant teddy bear. That night we went out to my favorite restaurant, unfortunately, the waitress took almost an hour to come, but we were too enticed in each others company to mind. The second one is from my birthday; my friends and I ended up going to McDonald’s because our reservation to a high-end restaurant “disappeared”, ironically it became to be the best birthday I had. Both stories reminded me that some of my favorite memories are the imperfect moments in
It was carrying a lot of people from all over the world. I have never been so excited in my life to go to one place. The anticipation was so overwhelming and once again, I could not wait to get to the resort. After a twenty minute bus ride we got to the resort. Once I stepped off the bus I could remember seeing the beautiful palm trees and feeling the heat of the sun beating on my face. I said to my dad, finally we made it and let the fun begin. We got settled and checked into the hotel. My brother and I decided to check the rest of the resort out. The resort had a crystal clear pool with a bar in it. It was amazing and I have never seen anything like it before in my life. The resort also had ten gourmet restaurants and plenty of entertaining things for us kids to do. So, after we did this we went back to our hotel and stayed in for the night. We were beat and just wanted to get some sleep from the long day of
The people can’t get rid of this memory because it made overwhelming impact on the lives of all people in the world. The negative attitude towards the events and the society around them can stay without support; if all people have to unite and share their problems, the sorrowful feeling may just become a bad memory that those can move on from.
It’s been 15 years since that day, but the moment still haunts me today. When we found out that a nuclear bomb was going to drop, my family and the rest of the street had no idea what to do. Everything was all over the place, seconds after the explosion happened. Houses were destroyed, cars were flipped and ravaged, and thousands of dead bodies were lying on the streets. Some of them were even our dearest friends.
This was a very devastating event and no one would ever want to relive it, it was terrible. Lot’s of people were hurt, and hurt bad enough that they were getting legs cut off, kids were losing parents, and it’s hard as a kid to lose both of your parents. Or if your parent lost a leg, then it would be hard for them to play with their kids and do fun things with them. And I know that can be very hard. So this is definitely a very devastating event. To remember this event, there was a memorial
I tried to memorize everything about this painful history, but I cannot, there is blank in my brain because I was shocking by what I see in the hall.
Who remembers where they were November 22, 1963? , The fateful day President John F. Kennedy had been assassinated. My mother was only three and she remembers the day. She was in the living room of her childhood home when a crying neighbor called my Grandmother and broke the news. The telephone call was the beginning of a chain reaction that sent the entire house into uncontrollable mayhem. The event had that effect on the entire nation. Men and women, Democrats and Republicans, adults and children mourned the loss of their fallen leader.
Since we move to Florida I can review having a great deal of terrible recollections however most time it's great ones. One of my top choices is the point at which I was five and for my sister tenth birthday celebration we went to the Shoreline for her to celebrate with a few companions. my folks pick this new shoreline that has been authoritatively opened to general society, as a result of all the energy it was making and on account of the thousand of individuals going by from everywhere everyday.people who've been to the shoreline said it was a magnificent and euphoric place to be and that there are exercises to appreciate, and the new fragrance of the sparkly waters, influence the guests to feel quiet and pleasurable. With the goal that's
A Memory burnt in my heart and mind, a horrific account of an event that shook the world.
The day Grace Grimshaw threw up all over my car is one that I will never forget. One summer morning, I went to pick up Allison Downen and Grace after cross country practice. We had been wanting to go over to Wildwood, Missouri to try and find Nelly’s house, but right before we leave Grace says she feels funny. She eventually just falls asleep in the back seat and everything is fine, until about an hour later when she wakes up. Grace sits up straight and says she is going to be sick. She then proceeds to pick up a Tupperware container I had on the floor and asks if she can puke in it; I slam on the brakes and say absolutely not. I pull into a subdivision with houses the size of Buckingham Palace and tell Grace to open up the door and go for
There was only one week before I left for my trip to the Bahamas. My dad had already booked our trip and he told me we were staying in the little hotel across the street from the Atlantis Resort in Nassau, Bahamas. To be honest I was pretty upset about it. Although before leaving for our vacation I was given the great news from my dad that we were not staying at the hotel across from the resort and we were actually staying at the huge Atlantis Royal Towers section of the Atlantis Resort with a great view. This news had completely brightened my day. Two days after finding out the fantastic news we left for the airport at around three o’clock in the morning. We flew out of O’Hare International Airport so we had to ride on a tram to get the airport where something happened that, to me, is rather coincidental. Since it was only three in the morning there was no one on the tram except for my parents and I, along with a young couple. Once we got off the tram we made our way to the gate for our flight to Miami, Florida to board the connecting flight to Nassau. When we got on the plane we recognized the people in our row as the same young couple we saw on the tram earlier in the morning! After landing and making our way to the connecting flight we noticed that the young couple from the flight was going to the Bahamas as well. I just thought that the encounter was a pretty interesting coincidence and is something that I will probably remember for quite a while.
"It was horrible and there is no way I'm going back tomorrow!" I exclaimed to my mother. I felt that I had done every possible thing wrong and was greatly embarrassed by it. I explained to her all of my mixed emotions and recounted everything that had gone on. As I talked, I realized
It was in December, during my Christmas vacation, when I decided to start looking for a summer job. There were many options but the job I decided to apply for was a position as a lifeguard at a waterpark. I filled out an application and was accepted almost immediately. The only thing left was the lifeguard training; little did I know that it was going to be an experience I would never forget.
One Thursday evening, I was with my boyfriend and his family at Buffalo Wild Wings. We were having a good time talking about life, upcoming birthdays and school. Everyone in the restaurant was enjoying their meal and having a conversation with their loved ones. Minutes before leaving, I decided to go to the restroom to wash my hands and put some lipstick on. We were planning on watching a movie after we ate.
