We Are Not Busy But In Fact Lazy Analysis

Kreider argues that we are not busy, but in fact lazy. After reading his article, I tend to agree. We tend to use the word busy as a procrastination. When in fact, if we utilize effective time management, we can accomplish the task we tend to put off another day. In his essay, Kreider refers to personal situations and or stories. He does not make use of any statistical data. Kreider organizes his essay to make use of the trait by trait layout. I understand the daily demands we have; work, kids, household task, and so on. However, when we effectively utilize our time, all of these tasks can be completed. I personally, practice time management religiously. I work in a business that is customer driven. I could be called upon for a job at any point throughout the day. This is one of the reasons, for me, that time management is important. We overload ourselves in today’s world with extra activities that we “have “to do. Do we really need to do these activities? My family hunts. This is an interest we have all come to love. However, there are times where we just can’t fit it in. Are my kids disappointed? Of course. However, they make it another day. The world doesn’t end for them. Every day, we come in and repeat the same process. I have learned that I can only expect myself to complete so much in one day. I prioritize my daily task to accomplish what I need to. This allows me to have free time. I have personally gone from working 70 plus hours a week to around 50 hours a week. Those extra 20 hours a week are nice. I wouldn’t have those extra hours if I didn’t utilize time management. This skill has allowed me to free myself of the excuse that I am too busy. I can now say that I accomplish twice as much in a day that I did before with time left over for
