In the award-winning film We Bought a Zoo, directed by Cameron Crowe, Rosie Mee takes life as it is, and faces it with an adorably bright smile. Early on in the story, Benjamin Mee has a moment of self doubt and asks his 7 year old daughter if he is doing anything right as a parent. Trying to stay on the brightside, Rosie tells him “You’re handsomer than the other dads. Lots of them don’t have hair, so that’s good.” (Crowe, x:xx) Rosie wants to be honest, but Rosie also doesn’t want to hurt his feelings. So, she maturely chooses to find some sort of good.
