A subculture is a group of people who share a distinctive set of cultural beliefs and behaviors that differ in some significant way from that of larger society. Marijuana smokers can be considered a subculture for many reasons. Marijuana is used by millions of people around the world, either for recreational, spiritual, or therapeutic reasons. Some call themselves the cannabis connoisseurs; people who respect cannabis and use it responsibly. Few drugs have been so politicized recently as marijuana has. It is frequently praised by one side and condemned by the other, on the basis of emotional issues rather than an objective view of research.

Each year the United States government documents drug related deaths in our country, breaking the deaths down into categories of cause. These categories include tobacco, alcohol, prescription medications, illegal drug, and of course marijuana related deaths. Every year the number of deaths coming from marijuana is equivalent to zero. Dinner went by too fast. I had a full stomach and quite frankly, I wasn’t ready to go and clean the showers. As the groaning grew louder, the desire to clean grew smaller and smaller. The groaning con1tinuted on for about ten minutes until our boss came out and told the cleaning teams to get back to work. I gathered up my cleaning team that was filled with 16 year old boys and set off to start cleaning the showers; little did we know these showers would put us to the test on how we handled rumors that had potential to spread like weeds.

Interesting accumulating evidence show that the significant negative impact of this drug outweighs the positive effects. However, the medical benefits of the drug seem on the process of chemical compounds as compared to the drug itself. Medical debates show that chemical compound in marijuana are the problem as compared to the plant. The said chemical compound affects the mental and physical health of the persons abusing this drug. There have been traditional efforts to control the use of marijuana through legislation laws, (Crick, Haase, & Bewley-Taylor, 2013). However, in the recent past the efforts and the laws are being lifted to relax the implementation of the same legislations and the population is responding fast in accepting the legalization of the use of marijuana. The aim of this paper is to discuss how lifting on the laws of the said drug indicate adverse tolerance of Cannabis among populations. The paper will also discuss impact of legalization marijuana on the safety, security and overall quality of human life. Also, the paper will analyses the effect of relaxation of the laws controlling this drug to other hard core drugs such as cocaine, heroin and meth-amphetamines among others.

Marijuana is the most widely used illicit drug in the United States, which makes it a problem. On June 13, 2003 I was born to Robert and Katie McEvilly. They decided to name me Taylor Grace McEvilly. Eighteen months later my little brother, Connor, was born. About six years after that, my other sibling, Allie, was born. I have one dog named Jack who is a white Labrador. My family is part of the reason I am who I am today, being how close we are. I enjoy Crossfit, volleyball, swimming, and spending time with friends and family. Another thing I enjoy and excel at is academics.

When I first started thinking about my participant observation I had numerous ideas of what I could learn, but as I started to think about what I should do, then I realized I just started my own participant observation that I was already extremely dedicated to so I decided I could write it down for this class. My participant observation might be different from others, but I was extremely dedicated and devoted to learning everything I could about the helpful benefits of marijuana if grown organically and properly since countless times large grow facilities will use “organic” pesticides to spray plants to exterminate the bugs and they must wear suits just to spray the pesticides. Accordingly, I meet a truly experienced grower in the community which decided to mentor me and show me the ways of growing marijuana organically and in soil, which I had never tried before, I always worked in aero or hydroponic systems.
