Weight lifting is popular exercise that requires a large amount of effort, concentrated on specific muscles. Using barbells during bench pressing for example will mainly exercise muscles in the chest. By weight lifting, lifters experience small muscle growth but also the tear of the muscle. Due to the muscle tearing, blood is sent to the expanded muscle as a sense of nutrients and repair, in the form of white blood cells.
