Wentz absorbed a number of shots -- some of them unnecessary -- and found most of the ground gained to be hard-earned, at least until the Bears succumbed to the Eagles' momentum down the stretch. A perfect example came late in the second quarter. With the Eagles facing third-and-9, Wentz stood in with defensive end Akiem Hicks crashing in on him and fired a completion to tight end Trey Burton to keep the drive alive. Hicks was flagged for roughing the passer on the play for getting a hand on Wentz's helmet. On the next snap, Wentz scrambled to his left, spun near the sideline to try to elude a defender and was leveled by linebacker Danny Trevathan.
