The Colonists were very much justified to break for independence and freedom from the British rule. The way the British tried to rule over the Colony helped feed the spark of revolution. The British were making the Colonists feel like they never got away from Britain and the King's rule. They made a British Parliament with no American representatives, taxed them for the French and Indian war, and sent in troops to live in their homes. These are just three of the many events that started the spark of revolution. One of the events was the British Parliament power in the Colonies. In Document 6, it states that the British Parliament had extreme and unlimited power over the Colonists. The British Parliament made it so that no Colonists were allowed to be in on the Parliament, because if there were one the Colonists would have a voice and have some freedom to their own. The Colonists couldn’t do anything about the Parliament making laws to bind them, except to resist by using force. Another event was The Stamp Act. In Document 2, The Stamp Act was a tax the British Parliament passed on the Colonists to repay the debt from the French and Indian War. …show more content…

This caused the Townshed Act. In Document 9, it states how King George sent more soldiers to the Colonies to bring order. The problem with the King sending more troops was that it made it harder to maintain each troop, so the British Parliament made new laws stating that for each house of 4 there should be one soldier living alongside them. The people had to provide a bed, food, and beverages to the soldier. This was named the Quartering Act. This law/act isn’t as horrible as the other acts the Brits have had. It does have a fair veiw to it because the Brits could have put more than one soldier to live with the Colonists, or get kicked out of their
