Many people find donkeys as affectionate creatures. How much do you know about donkeys ,also known as burros? Do you believe they are smart? Do you think they are loyal and understanding? Do you think they are courteous and helpful creatures? If you can’t answer these questions then I can assure you that you will learn a few things in this essay. Do you think that donkeys are intelligent animals or not? Donkeys are extremely intelligent animals. They are so ingenious that you can train them just like horses. For example, you can teach them to be ridden or lunged. What I mean by lunged is you have a whip, flag, or really anything that will make them keep going at the speed you want them to go, they run, trot, canter, or walk around you in a circle until you tell them to stop. If you can teach them something, they will never forget it. Also, they don’t jump as much as horses since they are more aware of their surroundings, which can sometimes be threatening to them and not to us. You might notice that donkeys have humongous ears, and that is so they can hear more distant sounds, and so they don’t get spooked.Another thing is if you start a routine with them they will know where to be, when to be there, and how to do it. For instance, if you take food out to them everyday at 5'o clock at the south part of the pasture more than likely they are gonna catch on to that and are going to meet you at the south part of the pasture waiting for you to bring them food.
