There is no other place that would make me work this hard at everything I do, but now I know I could do it. Before being an MEHS student, I relied in only my grades, but getting those good grades with such simplicity was bringing me nowhere. After hearing about Mt. Edgecumbe I was scared that I could not make it up there. After two years of being a student there, I understand that succeeding at Mt. Edgecumbe is no simple task, but it could be done by someone who truly give it everything they have. Although this would be one of he most streaneus accomplishments I had ever achieved, I know I that I could do it if given the
One of my most cherished thoughts is that all goals are in grasp if you can work hard enought and long enought you can achieve them. I also believe with dedication any person can reach what they dreamed about.
What's mine is yours. Having lived a year in a student hostel I understood this phrase was the best to describe my first year student life. We shared everything: all of bright spots, all of difficult moments, all of the books and all of the cakes. My roommates are my best friends now and I trust them as I would myself. I believe amazing adventures and close friendship are waiting for us too! Also I believe, my dear roommate, you’ll get at least one new hobby living with me. I promise I’ll share to you with my frenzy for mountains. Oh, that’s really amazing! I’m a participant of the university tourist all around team(sports tourism university team member) and every weekend we get to go to incredibly picturesque places of Zailiyskiy Alatau.
Everyone has accomplishments, People experience them young, old and all inbetween. A main accomplishment in my life has been starting for the varsity lacrosse team here at Clackamas High School. Along with starting on my high school team, as a sophomore, I also was invited to play on some of the best club teams in Oregon. During these experiences I have grown as a person, began working harder, and learned you can’t always control everything. With determination you can do anything you set your mind to.
Our team practice everyday for 2 hours and our record was 23-1. We were the first team ever to win in our age division to ever win for St.Mary’s. We had a hard time in the beginning of the season. One of our best players injured her knee. She was running towards the loose ball and her knee twisted. She was out for the rest of the season. Looking back on it made me better because I learned how hard you to to practice or try to achieve your goal.
After a full year of Athletic Training clinical experience, I decided that my next step would be to pursue a degree as a physical therapist. The next two years were dedicated to making myself a desirable candidate for graduate programs so that I would be able to reach my goal. I began trying to squeeze in as many observation hours at different physical therapy settings as possible. Summer and winter breaks were dedicated to taking the prerequisites to meet program requirements. My friends would tell me that I was crazy for taking twelve credits each summer for the past two years.
My accomplishments really date back when I graduated from high school. As the youngest of four, you would think I had wonderful romodels guiding me throughout my life and making it easier for me. However, that was not my case. I was actually one of 3 that graduated from high school from my brothers and sisters, and the only one that got accepted to a university. I am now happy to be a jr. at UTEP and be a ro-model from my nephews and nieces. I guess all those challenges really worked in my favor.
To begin, there are numerous scholastic achievements that have made me and my family proud. One of the most important scholastic achievement has been my acceptance to CSUSM. As a first generation college student, my acceptance and determination to pursue a higher education has become by far the most extraordinary scholastic achievement. Since my acceptance to CSUSM two years ago, I have been admitted to the Dean’s List three semesters. In high school, I received two years of presidential excellence for maintaining a 3.5 GPA and higher. As well, I was part of the National Honor Society in high school which has carried on to
I have been able to successfully handle a professional career while successfully maintaining a 3.2 GPA. I have also been able to be a role model for my two teenage sons and teenage brother. I was the first college graduate in my immediate family. I have showed them that I have the ability to overcome obstacles that has crossed my path while obtaining my degrees. I feel that I have given them the perception that regardless of what happens in life, if you set my mind to something you can still achieve it. It may be harder but with strong will determination the impossible is possible. I pray that my efforts has given them the initiative they need to continue their education and achieve the goals they have set for
The greatest accomplishment to date would be me deciding to come back to college to continue to finish up my degree as a medical assistant. I had started back in 2014 and for economic and personal reasons was not able to continue my dream in becoming a medical assistant. Along my journey I had encounter many obstacles, but I decided that these obstacles would no longer interfere with me pursuing my career. My mindset had changed I was tired of living in a world that constantly wanted to make me into something other than myself. I know that I still have a long way to pursue my career but where I am now is more than an accomplishment to me. Not only because I’m attending college again but because I learned to take day by day and I learned that
When assigned my first essay, “My Greatest Accomplishment,” I took time to brainstorm different ideas that defined me. The accomplishment that stood out the most to me was qualifying for State Track in four events on a sprained ankle. While writing this essay, I felt like a baby learning how to walk. My writing was unsteady and I took a few tumbles trying to get the paragraphs to flow. This reminded me of trying to run on my sprained ankle at the State-qualifying meet. However, like I finished the paper, I finished my events with qualifying times. I knew the essay would prove difficult, but I grew hopeful while writing because I knew I had numerous
Throughout the course of freshmen year I have developed different skills and opinions on writing. I feel I have created a more mature style of writing and a better understanding of literature. I have changed my view of writing over this semester and acquired a strong liking for it. The importance of writing has become more visible throughout the past few months. Writing is crucial in many aspects of a person’s life. I have grown to be a more powerful and well built writer throughout this course.
“The price of success is hard work, dedication to the job at hand, and the determination that whether we win or lose, we have applied the best of ourselves to the task at hand”. This inspiring quote said by legendary football coach, Vince Lombardi, describes the characteristics in order to be successful. Like football, to be a successful Honors student at Hillsborough High School, students must possess the will to succeed above normal expectations. This drive to succeed, inspires diligent, dedicated, driven Honors students. I, like many other successful Honors students, am hardworking, determined, and intelligent.
Throughout my high school career I have been able to accomplish several of my personal goals. One of the goals that I accomplished was being on the honor roll every nine weeks throughout my four years of high school. With maintaining a spot on the honor roll, it has earned me a grade point average of a 3.214 out of a 4.0 scale. Another goal that I accomplished for myself was, being able to participate in school actives such as the varsity scholastic bowl team and the Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America. This was an accomplishment for me because while I was participating in these organizations, I was also able to give back to my community and the people in it. The last accomplishment that I have achieved throughout my high school career, was being able to gain acceptance into the college of my dreams, that I will be attending in the fall of 2016.
My greatest accomplishment thus far, has been getting high grades in college. Accomplishing this required: patience, dedication, tenacity, stamina, and confidence. It took patience because there were long hours that were dedicated to homework and studying. It took dedication because I had to continually tell myself that it would be worth it, even when it was difficult. It took tenacity because I knew that I couldn't accept anything less than my best. It took stamina because there were a lot of late nights and just a lot of time in general to complete everything that was required of me. Lastly, it took confidence because if I didn't believe that I could, it would have made it a million times harder.
