How can history possibly be entertaining? Easily one of the most boring subjects in school, it’s good to know that there are a few interesting influences such as the Roman Empire that occurred. Roman ruins are easily the most interesting parts of history and what better to way to find the remains of this ancient civilization than Spain. Spain is the best place to visit in order to see the Roman ruins because it has plenty of well-kept ruins, The Alhambra and the city of Toledo. What’s better than Roman ruins, well-kept Roman ruins? It is truly fascinating to know how well Spain took care of these ruins. According to text one, “it maintains an amphitheater, Temples and aqueducts.” To add on, The passage also states that “what is often the most amazing part is that they have survived for so many years." In other words, Spain is the only place to go if you want to see ruins in good shape because of how well they've cared for them over the years. The aqueducts gave the Romans good plumbing and the fact that it's still used today only emphasizes it's importance to history. The city of Italica gives the visitor an idea of what life was like during the Roman empire. The amphitheater transports the visitor to a different time in history. The Alhambra is a beautiful sight to see. In the second passage, it's stated that " The Alhambra is now one of Spain's major tourist attractions." To clarify, it is the most valuable monument to the Roman Empire and because of the Roman Empire occurred in Spain, we are given the opportunity to see it. As a matter of fact, The Alhambra was declared a national monument because it demonstrates how something can be built, destroyed and rebuilt over time.
