I will be compare the tools to see what they have in common and what they don’t. I will also see which tool I like better. The two tools I have chosen are Gimp and Adobe Photoshop.
GIMP is an Image Manipulation Program. It is a free program for such tasks as photo editing and photo retouching. It has many capabilities. It can be used as a simple paint program or an expert photo retouching program. GIMP is extensible and expandable. The advanced interface allows everything from the simplest task to the most complex task to be easily scripted.

Once imported, everything is organized on the screen. This makes it easier to handle multiple videos and photos

It will run on any operating system and is compatible with OS X and Windows.

• GIMP’s user interface is much easier to use than Photoshop interface. GIMP’s user interface is friendlier overall.
The disadvantages of GIMP;
These were the main drawbacks I’ve discovered using GIMP.
• Buggy – it does crash occasionally
• Gimp does not support all image formats unless plug-ins for them are installed.
• The user manual is still under development.
• There isn’t a lot of help online while Photoshop has plenty of tutorials.

6 reasons Gimp is better:
1- Basic editing is almost the exact same: Photoshop and GIMP, both have basic set of tools for image editing. Quality image editing can be done in both of the software’s.
2- Advanced Features: Photoshop is loaded with more advanced features as compared to GIMP. Only professionals actually use these advanced features. The Average user will more than likely not use these advanced
