A problem is something which holds up the progress or movement in achieving an objective or goal. In our daily life many problems are there. The nature of problem depends on situation. Some of the problems are understood and solution can be developed. Problem solving is a science. It includes sufficient knowledge of the era to which problem belongs. It adds power of knowledge which is independent of human learning and experience. For solving any problem every individual may have his or her own way. Writing a software, computer program is one of the best way to solve problems effectively. Multiple steps are performed before developing a software. Each step may describe how to do things. Software development is a collection of such steps which …show more content…
Some of them are as follows. Trail and error method Brain storming Divide and conquer Trail and error method This is fundamental method which involves repeating the steps until success. It is very general technique Example - Learning to walk, to swim, or to ride a bicycle is based on trial-and-error. At the beginning, we make wrong movements and commit errors. As we go through a series of practice trials, errors are reduced and responses are mastered. For computer is the most natural technique because sequence of steps get repeated again and again. Advantages easy to implement Disadvantages Limited Test Opportunities. Trial and error works best in situations where you have more test subjects than you need to run each test. When you have a limited number of test subjects that you cannot reuse after each test, you have to be highly selective of the tests you run. For example, if you have seven patients with the same sickness and you have 11 different tests you can run, but one test only for each patient, you need to select the seven tests you think are most helpful. This means you need to scrap at least four viable …show more content…
The group should consist of people drawn from different areas like marketing, production, quality control, planning, finance, costing, stores etc. The brain storming session should be held in a good place with ambienceso that group comes open with their ideas. No criticism or judgement. Other people’s ideas or our own ideas should not be criticized however foolish or outlandish they may seem. Judgement stops the creative process, causes tensions in the group and arrests the generation of ideas. During brainstorming participants are completely free to express themselves. They are not bound by their company position or by their boss or colleagues; nothing is unwanted and nothing is wrong; The quantity and not the quality of ideas is what matters. The world’s most creative people suggest that it is not that each of their ideas is bright, clear and new, but that some of their many ideas are very good. In a 20-minute session, it is normally possible to produce between 120 and 150 ideas; All ideas are recorded on the flip chart. When a page of the flip chart is full, it is posted on the wall so that all participants can see it and a new page is started. The ideas produced for the second page may even be the same or similar. In this way, the participants are not forced to register all the ideas and can create

In order for any problem to be solve first a person or persons have to know the root of the cause. According to
When members in the team brainstorm ideas, they will ask a lot of questions pertaining to the problem at hand and do a lot of research on it. They will also break themselves up into smaller, more workable groups to increase efficiency. In addition, the members do not just limit themselves to finding information online, but they also find out firsthand about the problem from the people who are affected by it. During their firsthand experience, they are very observant and enthusiastic in gaining knowledge from the people affected. Then, they will demonstrate, communicate and share everything that they’ve learned with the other groups. There is focused chaos during the sharing and the members are all very lively, flexible, and open. All ideas are accepted, and no idea is “bad”, no matter how crazy it is. After much sharing, the team will narrow down ideas by voting for them, and the ideas with majority of the votes will be shortlisted. When the members are tired after the brainstorming session, they will call it a day and end off on a positive note.
Brainstorming helps me to write the perfect research paper. We had Spontaneous group discussions in my class which helped me to get new ideas about my topic. We had a peer review every week once rough draft is prepared. This process helps me to me correct and analyze the more points required for rewriting my research paper. It is always a good habit in taking other views and ideas in any academic writing can result in reduce errors like grammar, sentence formation and increase in creating more ideas to implement in the paper.
When we discuss ideas collaboratively, we need to think about what we are saying because what we talk about affects what we think and the way we think. Bruffee discusses this in
Creativity is often more about the process rather than the end project, it is useful for many reasons:
Another advantage of group brainstorming is that it helps everyone involved to feel that they’ve contributed to the end solution, and it reminds people that other people have creative ideas to offer. What’s more, brainstorming is fun, and it can be great for team-building!
We all encounter problems in our lives. How we choose to deal with them can determine our success or failure in overcoming problems. To succeed, one needs to face the problem head on, focus on solutions, and implement the best plan. Failure occurs when we focus on the problem and neglect or fail to consider viable options for overcoming the problem. So how do we solve problems, and what are the benefits in doing so?
According to Baird and colleagues, mind wandering can enhance creativity goals and problems that were encountered. Creativity finds solutions that are novel, and high quality (Matlin, 2009). J.P. Guilford researched how we measure creativity. Creativity should be measured by divergent production. This research demonstrates the number of different responses that are made for each test item (Matlin, 2009).
The first step in the problem solving process, allowed me to identify the problem. A situation can be perceived or thought of as problematic when an individual encounters situations disturbs them or they find that it keeps them from a goal (Bingham, 1999). The problem surfacing in affording an education and paying for everyday necessities became the central focus at that point in my life and defined the problem that needed an immediate response. The problem solving process can best be defined as the best way to overcome obstacles in situations and the steps used to help overcome them (Peterson et al., 2002).
solution to any problem, there are multiple that needs to be put together to make one
Each of the group members ideas can bounce off one another to overall create the perfect idea that suits most aspects of the contributions of the group. It also takes into account the broad scopes of experience as newer individuals may create different ideas that have not been influenced by working in the company for a longer period of time. If longer serving employees take over sometimes this can hinder ideas as they are focusing on the norms in which the group may usually follow.
