Work places all enforce their employees to dress professional. But what does dressing professional mean? Nowadays schools and universities all insist that people must dress according to the rules. Dress codes are set for three main reason which are professionalism, appropriateness, and to stop distraction. A dress code is something that is used worldwide in almost all countries. The main reason for a dress code is to appear Professional, where people should be wearing clothes that are not too revealing or too distracting. As some people tend to wear clothes that might be too short. Therefore, it makes the person look less professional especially in jobs that require dealing with customers. Accordingly, it has been proven that people would rather talk to someone that is wearing a suite rather than a person that is wearing a shirt and shorts due to the fact that they do not appear serious with the job that they are handling and probably for the reason that they tend to appear a bit childish too. While people who dress professionally send a message to people that they are willing to be doing this job in an efficient way. …show more content…

One of the reasons a code is set in such work places is because customers feel more comfortable with a person that dresses appropriate and does not show an excessive amount of skin. Mainly because people who dress more professional and appropriate might look like someone that is trust worthy and serious with handling the job. No one wants to be talking to an employee that does not look trust worthy of handling the work they were meant to be doing. So people who wear clothes that might be too revealing will surly push customers
