Throughout this project my intention is to learn about all my career and college options for my desired job which is a sports medicine physician. With this report I aim to learn as much as I can about that job because then I can make an educated decision whether or not I want to pursue this career. As I write this Career Research report I hope to learn what high school and college classes I need to take and how many years I need to attend college. I hope that this paper helps me wrap my head around this job and decide whether this is a career I would like to do further research in.
My career goal is to become an Occupational Therapist and specialize in pediatrics. I want to specialize in pediatrics because I have always loved to be around children and be able to help them in whatever they need. Also, pediatrics is important to me because kids are our future and if I can help kids for their future I will be glad to do so. Helping kids become more independent on their activities of daily living makes me happy because I am helping them to become more independent and make them feel like they can accomplish anything. In order to be able to do this I have to get a Master Degree and I plan on getting this degree from Loma Linda University. In five years I see myself working in the Occupational Therapy setting and working with kids. I see myself, making others
The career path I have chosen to take is in the medical field. My dream from a young age was always to be a nurse. A nurse is a healthcare professional who is focused on caring for people, and making sure that they manage, maintain, and recover patients to the finest state of health (What is Nursing, par.1). Nursing makes up a vast majority of the healthcare industry. There is a huge range of nursing specialties. Nurses work in General and surgical Hospitals, doctor’s offices, nursing care facilities, outpatient facilities, and home health services (Why Be a Nurse, par. 2). Nursing is an extremely flexible career, with one hundred and four specialties and a lot of advanced nursing degrees, so there is something for everyone in this field (Why Be a Nurse, par. 4). Nurses do much more than just help people heal physically. Nurses are there to make sure patients are taken care of physically and emotionally. There are different levels of
I have had a passion for becoming a healthcare provider for children for quite a while (for a long time). Children are one of the most important individuals of society because they are the future and will one day be in charge of the world. Their health at a young age is indicative to how their health will be as adults. Childhood has a great effect on how a person turns out to be so I hope to help children I hope to use prevention and education to preserve and restore the health of my patients. My career goals are to prevent children from having to spend time in hospitals or in pain and to help them live out their life and dreams to the fullest extent. Children play a very large role in their families, and when a child becomes sick, the whole family becomes distressed. Pediatricians not only heal children, but they help and prevent a family from suffering. I love medicine and children, and I hope to combine these two passions by becoming a pediatrician.
“What do you want to be when you grow up?” As a child, we have all been asked this question; and as unrealistic children, we all had dreams of being a superhero, princess, cowboy, or astronaut. Later on in life, as time went by, and as we became more knowledgeable, our answers became more serious. Some of us wanted to be teachers, business owners, or a veterinarian. However, I have always wanted to be a doctor, but not just any doctor. For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to be a pediatrician. Now, half way through my junior year in high school, I have started to question the details of this career, and all the hard work it takes to become a part of the medical field.
The medical field is rapidly growing with so many different careers to choose from. There are many different things that you could specialize in. There are so many opportunities in the medical field for you to grow and become something bigger. A very interesting field to go in is a pediatric nurse. This specific career path interests me because when my little brother was 5 years old he suddenly woke up one morning with his body completely swollen. We immediately rushed him to the hospital. While at the hospital they told us that he had Nephrotic Syndrome. His kidneys weren’t properly working and he was leaking excess protein in his urine. Since that day I knew exactly what I wanted to do. I wanted to help others, especially kids in their
I would like to go into the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner career field. Pediatric Nurse Practitioners help Pediatricians and other Physicians diagnose and take care of children from infancy to young adults. I have grown up with ten siblings and many more cousins, so I have learned how to deal with children of all ages. Also, I have been interested in the medical field since I was a little girl and I have always loved to help people. I would have liked to be a Pediatrician but I would prefere not be in school for another thirteen years, so I found that the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner was the perfect career for me.
The career I choose to become when I’m older is a pediatrician. I choose this career because when I was in the second grade our teacher was teaching a lesson on what you want to be when you 're older. I had no clue but I always wanted to help someone or something in needed like for example a vet or doctor.
The first career, I am looking into is pediatric oncology, Pediatric oncology is what I am considering because it is one of the most inspiring jobs in my opinion. There are also a lot more pros than cons, I want to become a pediatric oncologist because of numerous reasons and that is one of them. A couple reasons are that I have
The job I would like to do when I am older is neonatal surgery. I think neonatal surgery is a wonderful profession for me because I love babies. This job entails working with and performing life saving surgeries to premature babies, or babies with birth defects. I feel as though this job is a gift because you’re giving life to another human and also giving them another chance at life.
Once I graduate from La Serna High School, I will partake in a stressful journey into becoming a neurosurgeon. Neurosurgeons are physicians who perform surgeries on the brain to treat diseases or injuries. Besides surgeries, a neurosurgeon diagnose people, prescribes medicine, and also considered the surgical risks of proceeding with a surgery. This career is probably one the most stressful jobs in the world, due to all the information they must know and because of all the pressure that is on them during a surgery. The reason I am interested in this career is because, I have always been fascinated with the brain and how it works, not to mention I love helping people treat diseases or injuries.
The world is filled with many options, there are so many things to choose from that you can be. You may pick freely, and what I plan on for my career goals is becoming a Nurse Practitioner or a Physical therapist. There are many important steps before you do any of your career goals. I have all of my plans in order. A plan A and a plan B. What I will do is attend Western Michigan University and major in Pre-Med. Even though Western doesn't have a physical therapy program I will still get the necessary knowledge I will need to be a P.T. After I take Pre-Med I plan to transfer to a University with the actual course so I may earn my masters in P.T. After college I plan on going back to school so that I may study business. This will
My career choice is to be a Neonatologist. A Neonatologist is a subspecialty of pediatrics. These doctors specialize in taking care of premature babies. They can have many health problems. Such as weight, breathing, and etc. Babies are treated by these doctors for usually the first month or two of their lives. They are treated at that time because some of them either have problems at birth or acquire some within the next few weeks of their lives. Once a baby is released from the hospital the doctors feel accomplished and that their job’s are done. I plan on achieving my goal after I get all my education, but I also can do things to help me prepare and give me more experience for my career. For my education I will have to take four years of
Becoming a Pediatrician, after earning a an undergraduate degree, you must attend 4 years of medical school, which will reward you with the Doctor of Medicine degree, and a 3-7 year internship or residency. After this, a license must be obtained. Pediatric medicine focuses on preventing, treating, and diagnosing childhood illnesses and diseases, as well as monitoring a child's growth and development from infancy to young adulthood. A local location includes the Pediatric Associates of the Northwest. I go there and they work very well with their patients. A very famous pediatrician is Frederick Chapman Robbins. This career interest me because I love working with children and if I could make them feel better and help them become healthier, I will feel like I have done a good deed. I learned that being a pediatrician is one of the most difficult fields of medicine because you are working with child problems and often times, it is more difficult to communicate with younger patients. Pediatricians are some of the most highly-demanded doctors around the world. Pediatricians are always needed because the amount of kids that need to be checked constantly is always increasing. All types of doctors do a very good job of advertising because people are always looking out for them due to how important they
The career choice that i've picked is to be a Pediatric Nurse. Being a nurse or going any other type of health careers you need to understand the math that you use. Math is everywhere in this career of mine. Examples
