If I was a Super hero, I would be Batman. Batman is one of the most entertaining superhero. The question is what does Batman do? Batman, it’s just not a name, it is hope for the people of Gotham, they own him. Batman is solely responsible for the welfare of people of city named Gotham. People are dependent upon him, he has fame, he is rich, he has got everything in his life, he can do whatever he want, travel the world, or whatever he want to do but what does he choose, to save people of Gotham, face hardships and help out people. He risks his live to save people, very few folks in this world get out of their comfort zone to help others, and batman prefers to do this while he has got everything, one can dream of.
The question is why batman
In the first pages of the novel, he contemplates his life, without the strength to keep going. Which proves that Batman was his fulfillment. Without it, there's no point, which is why Bruce was so dismayed by his old age and stayed recused at home consuming alcohol. He was broken and isolated from the legend he once was, Batman. Living as Bruce, while limiting Batman, was just a recluse, consuming quantities of alcohol and isolated in depression as the world crumbled down.
“Somewhere, a Long, Happy Life Probably Awaits You” (Jill Sexsmith) and “Batman and Robin Have an Altercation” (Stephen King) both share a common trait between each of the two stories that revolve around a mentally ill family member. The two stories each follow in accordance with Tzvetan Todorov’s Theory of Narrative. They each begin with an equilibrium and after a disruption, they fall into an offset of the balance of the story. The characters then recognize the problem and take action to restore the initial balance that had previously existed. In “Somewhere,”, theory of narrative is portrayed through a man and his mentally ill wife. The author uses two stories, one about the man’s wife and another about the tree on their front lawn that coincide to develop a path that follows the Todorov’s theory. Batman follows the story of a man and his father who has Alzheimer’s disease. This short story follows a day with the man’s father to convey Todorov’s theory.
Batman is a depiction of hope. Batman was the answer to a lot of people’s problems in a place where nobody felt safe like they should in their home. He was like the rain after a long, dry spell for
In a very highly tense and stressful situation, people tend to go as far as they can to avoid the situation at all costs. There are only a handful of people who run towards the problem to solve it in hopes to save someone’s life. These people are risking their own lives to save someone in need of aid, all without any money, fame, or endorsements in the future. In today’s society the concept of heroism can make a huge impact on a person’s or society’s view. Heroes help teach us what is right from wrong and constantly role-modeling the concept of persistency such as the very popular superhero Batman. He is persistently fighting crime in Gotham City, and will not stop until the criminals are put to justice. Even though his actions are more violent
Bruce Wayne’s longtime friend Rachel Dawes says, "It’¬s not who you are underneath, but what you do that defines you” (Nolan). In Batman Begins, Bruce Wayne’s fictional journey transforming into the Dark Knight begins when his parents are murdered in cold blood outside of a theater in Gotham. The experience Wayne had with Gotham’s crime early in his life traumatized him, and it left him without a sense of purpose. As a result of his parents’ murder, Wayne goes on a journey around the world to discover his purpose; he decides that his calling is back in Gotham. Wayne creates the vigilante Batman because he realizes the city his parents worked hard to build is being destroyed by organized crime.
Batman originally began as a DC Comics' detective a superhero quite different from the one envisioned by Nolan and company today. Batman was created by Bob Kane and Bill Finger in 1939 for Detective Comics, and for more than two decades it depicted a hero defined by his mystery-solving techniques and cast of quirky characters against whom his braininess and eccentric costume could be balanced (along with his knack for solving crimes). Needless to
This may be due to the fact that he is trying to avenge his parents' death. During one of the episodes, there was a device that could show the deepest secret of a person and Bruce Wayne used this device. From this it was revealed that a major reason for him becoming Batman was because of the incident. Throughout many of the episodes, this theme appears many times.
Should individuals hold the privilege to survive or expire, conferring to their personal perception of a “good life” even if they are not hurting anyone else? The exceedingly divided dispute around the procedure of physician-assisted suicide (PAS) asks this very question. Although physician-assisted suicide is relatively new to the realm of ethical issues it is often the main topic in many discussions about proper healthcare and palliative care. Physician-assisted suicide was first explicitly legalized in the United States when Oregon passed its Death with Dignity Act in 1994 (Kotva, 2016). The Act stipulates that “a doctor provides a patient with a lethal dose of medication or another way of causing death, but the patient, not the doctor,
There have been many times when Batman could have given up and went back to his million dollar mansion, but instead, he stayed out and kept fighting the good fight. Even when it looks like all is lost or there is no hope he keeps fighting to find an away. In the movie Batman vs Superman: The Dawn of justice he stayed to fight the big monster even though his problem was with Superman. Most of the people ran away because they were
Throughout the movie, Bruce Wayne continues to distance himself from society as Batman. While attending the hotel party Rachel confronts Bruce about doing more for the city. He tells her he is now a better person but doesn’t allow her to know he is Batman. Even the closest to him he chooses not to let know what he is doing for the city. Next when in the warehouse with Jim Gordon they team up together to stop Gotham from being cut off completely.
Heroes have the tendency to fight crime or serve the public without having to have a personal reason, this is not the case for Batman. Batman regularly, if not constantly, fights crime for his own benefit. While Batman was still Bruce Wayne, his parents were killed by a soon to be supervillain, this caused him to have an alternative motive to become a “hero.” Even if he does not directly advance on his parent’s murder, he still attacks ever villain that he thinks did him an injustice. “He smashes any and everything in his way while pursuing his ends,” (Wilson). While Batman smashes through his own intentions, Captain America fights crimes/serves the city for the people not for his own benefit. Batman might seem to be doing what a hero is supposed to do, but he is merely trying to avenge his parents death. “ Police are perplexed, worried the group will turn into vigilantes and doubt that the superhero policy is ever stopped any crime,” (source A). This is the same with Batman; the police do not know what to fashion of him, but are worried that he will insert himself in trouble. Batman might seem to be doing activities for others, still he does them for himself.
This personality can help him to find the ways to complete whatever he thinks that it is important. For instance, Batman is catching the criminals continuously as this is what he wanted to do when he started to be Batman. Batman is a rule-oriented person. This can be good because Batman would not easy to be seduced by any person with any offer as he barely break his own rules. Hence, Batman is considered as a thoughtful person as he would think about any possible consequences before he takes any action. And yet, this may become his weakness. It is because he would be inflexible in his life whenever he is facing problems and situations. For example, a few people died because of Batman indirectly. It is because he could not fulfill the Joker’s request which he has to show his real face to the public. He suffered and almost surrender to the
Batman is one of the many fictional superheroes which appears in the “American comic books” that is published by the DC comics. The character is a secret identity for Bruce Wayne, the only heir to Wayne Enterprises. Bruce Wayne swore an oath of vengeance when he witnessed the death of his parents;Thomas Wayne and Martha Wayne (Diamond, 2015). Bat man combats criminals in Gotham: a fictional city, with assistance from various characters, for example, his butler Alfred and Gordon; Gotham city police commissioner. Unlike many of the superheroes characters, Batman possesses no powers .Bruce Wayne trained himself intellectually and physically .it is from dedication to training he possessed the useful traits of physical prowess, martial arts skills, detective skills and indomitable will to fight for justice. Though his motive is to combat crime and protect people of Gotham city from criminals, the justice system in most of the times views Batman as a villain and vigilante. He can inflict fear to Gotham city criminals thereby bringing calmness to the city. I identify myself with the Batman character through his selfless will for justice, his strong determination to do good
Very soon after his parent’s death, he realizes that his calling is to protect people, and he spends his time striving to do this and this continues to motivate him throughout life. Bruce even has to make the choice between love and his job of protecting the people of Gotham, and because of his life’s instinct, he has to choose to protect. Over time, Bruce also learns that this option could save the love of his life and later on, this creates a
The primary functions of propaganda, according to Adolf Hitler’s Mein Kampf, is to gain the attention of the masses by proposing certain facts, processes, and necessities.
