In my own point of view of what I think critical thinking means is a guide to make a logical decision based on a number of variables such as factual evidence and credible resources that can create valid statements behind the action of thought process including being open-mindedness and demonstrating the differences of valid evidence and assuming to make and communicate their point of view to be understood by the others in a conversation. Critical Thinking means to establish a reasonable judgment in our everyday life, through improving our mind deeply by analyzing and doing actions that will benefit us. I think you get a wrong idea for not use critical thinking as it could apply to billion laws that you will have to figure out why or what cause the world to have that laws. How it applied to me as I remember one time there is a law where say no text while drive which it does make people and me thinking harder why there is so many people died in car accidents, and which worst to have drink while driving or texting while driving which you think will be more prevent and will the rate prove the law should remain same or make some change. This law is where you have to use your critical thinking skills, as you will need to think “out of the box” or pretend yourself in someone else’s shoes as you can imagine the situation will happen to you that also use critical thinking skills.

There are numerous ways we can demonstrate substantial critical thinking skills. Having a positive attitude is a great place to start not only for yourself but for those around you (Bethel University, 2013). Another vital skill in critical thinking is asking questions (Nappi, 2017). We have been asked questions our whole lives. From tests at school to problem solving at work, we are always asking questions or looking for answers.

We made sure to think about our own thinking habits while discussing these articles and to notice if we were ever being close-minded.

Another way to describe it is sensible, insightful, responsible, and skillful thinking that is focused on deciding what to believe or do. Critical thinking is not being able to process information well enough to know to stop for red lights or whether you established the right change at the supermarket.
In short, this course was very informative and it the most significant learning experience for me was defining critical thinking because I was intimidated by the word critical thinking. For the most part, I knew what the term critical thinking meant because I apply it in my everyday life. However, in our first assignment, I had to read to read define critically thinking several times to get a better understanding. In my own words, I described critical thinking as analyze a subject in more depth, but I learned in our reading assignments that the definition of critical thinking is “define as a set of skills which an individual applies to not only to another person reasoning, but also to one’s own reasoning” (Black, 2012, p. 59).
Critical thinking is the questioning of ideas. It is the process in which you take an argument and analyze it in order to conclude whether that argument is valid. Thinking critically is a good skill that can help others make intelligent decisions and helps them understand what to believe or not believe. Critical thinking is involved in our daily life. For example, every day we make decisions and before every decision we think critically if that is the right decision. We take into consideration the possible consequences of such decision and from that we reach a conclusion. Critical thinking involves disciplined thinking and it teaches you to think for yourself. It is personal growth and confidence that results from learning to exercise your mind to its fullest potential.
