We have the Bill Of Rights which gives us rights and a voice for our country many countries do not give their citizens a voice and many do not give their citizens a choice about what they can and can not do. We have freedom of speech which is where we can say whatever we may please as long as it is not fighting words or taking arms against the government. We also have freedom of religion and that gives the opportunity to be whatever religion we may please and we can even make up our own religions

Many people in today?s society are caught taking advantage of the rights they have been given. As the Americans we are, we have rights that pertain to freedom of speech, press, religion, assembly and petition. My rights as a citizen that I have are, the right to, life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness. According to Document E, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness”(Jefferson).
