Never Underestimate the Little People I know what you’re thinking. I’m small, lightweight, and weak. Easy kill, right? Wrong. As is may be true that I’m small and innocent looking, you’ve never seen my abilities. I can hide anywhere, climb with ease, and I have the brains to ouwit all of the other tributes. Being small is a great advantage. I need less food and water, so I can survive with little resources. I can climb a tree in around one minute and be at the highest point I can be without reaching the brittle branches too fragile to hold me. Also, I’m very intelligent. I’m a quick thinker and problem solver, so I won’t be easily challenged when it comes to rescuing myself in a quick second. Although I may look like an easy kill I am an excellent tribute to sponsor because I’m easily concealed, a great climber, and I can escape quickly due to my light weight and quick thinking, so I can win this thing. …show more content…
My point is that I’m going to be one of the smallest tributes out there. Advantage? Hiding. I could be up in a tree, behind a small group of rocks, in a tiny cave, or anywhere that could be a tight fit for my oppenents and still have breathing room. I’m only four feet and ten inches, and I weigh around eighty-four pounds. This allows me to be able to fit into a very tiny space; a locker at Wilson Middle School. I was once in the lockeroom in the gym getting ready to leave, and someone made a remark on my size. They jokingly said “Yeah, you’re so small you could probably fit in one of those lockers.” My response was “Actually, I probably could…” while stepping into a locker. I closed the door (there was no lock and it opened from the inside) and fit right in and still had room to move around. This will guarantee me protection and a place to

In the story “The Most Dangerous Game” by, Richard Connell, there is a magnificent story about the literary conflict of man vs. man, man vs nature, and man vs himself. The word ain’t is one of the most commonly-overlooked mistake in the English dictionary. It is used very often in TV, books, movies, media, and music, so we shouldn’t be surprised it is now in our real life. Most writers on this issue seems to agree that the word ain’t has not been fully investigated and needs further research. A look at the history of ain’t can help determine how this simple contraction became a serious error in professional writing and speech.
ABSTRACT: The question of ethics relates to the good and its contrary, evil. What ethics does with its object is to seek to understand it, that is, not to produce either the concept of the good or the actions that fall under that concept. Thus, the question that follows is: What is the good?, or strictly speaking, what is the definition of the good? But the definition asked for, as any other definition, is necessarily related to the science of language. But language itself is a social phenomenon. Consequently, the definition of any concept implies the quest of the social roots of this concept. In this sense, the quest of the roots is prior to the quest of what is. Examples are taken from Plato’s Republic,

You never know when an impromptu game of hide-and-seek could arise. Or when you might have to hide from an axe murderer. The smaller you are, the tighter the spot you can fit into.
Forgiveness by the World English Dictionary is the “act of forgiving; state of being forgiven, disposition or willingness to forgive”. But what does it really mean? That is my question. Is being able to forgive and not forget the same thing? In my life, I have found that true forgiveness is a quality that separates us from other species and it is what makes us human. In order to truly and sincerely forgive, one must, aside from saying they have forgiven the person, let it go and not hold a grudge against that person. Just, as Mahatma Gandhi once said: “The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong." I believe that holds to be true.
Many people take their lives for granted without even realizing how lucky they are to be alive another day. Roughly around 151,600 people die each day. Everyday a child loses a parent or a spouse loses a lover. People die in war, old age, or just unknown and unnatural causes. Death seems to be the theme or mood of “War is never over” and “Do Not Go Gentle into that Good Night”.
In Shaped by the Word, by Robert Mulholland Jr., one finds a way to read scripture in order to provide a deeper understanding of God and allow His Word to shape one’s spiritual life. In the Introduction, in chapter 1, the reader is introduced to the idea that there is a movement in the church that seeks to become deeper and stricter in spiritual formation. He claims there are many books written for this purpose, and his intending purpose for this book is for God to use however he may want in the reader’s spiritual life. Mulholland provides the reader with a prayer to pray in preparation of reading this book and states there may be points where God is knocking and calling the reader’s attention to something new.

This weeks’ discussion board is about feminist publication, and I chose the “Ms. Magazine”. I chose this magazine because I thought the name of the magazine was familiar to me, but I was wrong and after I downloaded the magazine I found that it was totally different than I had imagined. I downloaded the Ms. Magazine and the welcome included the statement that Ms. Magazine is the largest feminist publication in the world. It also states that “For over 40 years, Ms. has been Reporting, Rebelling, and Truth-telling”. The cover of the magazine has a picture of Wonder Woman that is has the same outfit and same color hair as the original Wonder Woman but, you can see and feel a different spirit about the Wonder Woman on the cover of this magazine. The articles I chose were “The Naked Man at the Door”, “Mercy Denied”, and “Bad Girl, Good Girl: Zines Doing Feminism”.
