What I knew about being an Artist Growing up in a family full of creative minds it wasn’t hard to find my own talent. I became obsessed with art at a young age, drawing anything that caught my fancy whether it be cats, dogs, or power puff girls. I loved to draw. I found that with my drawing I had a natural desire to get better and build upon my talent. In the later years of middle school when the time came that we were deciding our future careers I didn’t want to be an artist. I wanted to just quit my talent and be like the other girls who could sing and dance, I thought my talent useless. But through the years I found that any occupation besides an artist would make me miserable. A life spent on a career one does not have passion for is …show more content…
Art can play on the emotions of man unlike anything else in the world. It is a solid form of freedom of speech that all can understand. A single art piece can mean millions of different things to different viewers. Inside my mind lays in wake great masterpieces that have yet to be discovered and put onto canvas. Art is the career for me; I have spent long hours developing my art, researching art history, examining the work place/education requirements, learning from the masters(through books and TV programs), and imagining my future life as an artist. I have more yet to learn but I am ready and willing to go further.
What I Learned about Artists Obviously the primary duties of an artist are to create images, sculptures, paintings, photographs, installations, and a number of other art forms that help convey a feeling or idea in a public or private space. An artist is to make use of various materials to create original works of art for sale and exhibitions. One of the best things about art is that it never gets outdated or left in the past because as new technology is produced so are new ways to create art. “Technology has increased engagement…made art a more participatory experience and has helped make the arts audience more diverse.” (Pew Research Center) The life of an artist is not
Studying the Art is rewarding and fun. From art we could build a deeper understanding of the world we live in and how we got here. Art is like an idea brought into the world though drawing. People study art because they learn about their own creative expressions. Art is a window on our thoughts and emotions. It takes us to different times and places. For example, art holds clues from the past. It contributes who we are as people. Art gives us knowledge, inspiration and how we feel and view the world around us.
Art plays a huge role in my carefree personality. Poetry pushes me to use the power of my voice and to care less of what people think of me or my story, giving me the freedom to tell my story how I want to tell it. Not only poetry, but being a visual artist also gave me the urge to express myself unapologetically because it's a freedom in what I draw and how
I was just sitting there, in a dark room, not knowing what to do. Consequently, I frequently felt like a failure. Made me petrified, frightened, terrified that I was not approaching to be able to escape, and that I’d just be a homeless man. Because I believed that I could never find happiness, nor ever have found passion in anything. This consequently made me begin to envision that I was going to become a failure. I have always had the belief that art and graphic design were the attributes that I was passionate about, only to turn out that it was not as effortless as I once thought. Me being an ignorant person, I did not take into consideration that it is an extremely competitive field to be in. I just didn’t have the knowledge about what to do at this point. However, little did I realize, the fad that I had the utmost passion for were right in my ears: music.
Art is a form of expression, conveying a million things without saying anything at all. It is a way of telling a story, one of which I would like to share with you. For me, art has been a defining factor. It has allowed me to use my talent for the glory of God and has made me appreciate my faith of being a Coptic Orthodox Christian. Additionally, my artistic talent has developed over time, taught me a great deal about myself and has introduced me to new ways of expressing myself.
What is art? Can it be defined in any single painting, or sculpture? Is it even something that can be seen, or does it have to be experienced? The term "art" is so vague that it can be applied to almost anything, really. Mostly, however, art should be that which frees our imagination. It connects our conscious with our subconscious, putting into a visual form what we feel and think. It allows us to explore our inner self and fill that urge to understand our minds and our universe. Art helps us to see beyond the ordinary, to see what is in our hearts without being blinded by reality. When an artist creates a painting, it is not to create a picture; it is to create a feeling or mood. The purpose is to convey an emotion, and, it is
They live, breath, and sleep art. In my eyes, these people are very special and have an amazing talent that they get to share with the rest of the world. Artists are allowed to be creative and “think outside the box” not just every once in a while, but daily. I feel as if most artists have the mentality “beauty is in the eye of the beholder,” which I agree with. I might see something that is beautiful in my mind, but someone else might think that the same piece of art is terribly dreadful to look at. Art also has a different meaning and worth to each person. For example, something may mean more to me if a piece has been in my family for many
I love art. I have wanted a career in art for as long as I can remember. However, for years, I’ve been told there is no practical use for art or that I could never be successful if I pursued a career in art. People always say that art is just an elective or an easy A in school, that it never be a practical career. I have still been activity searching for a career based in the fine arts because I truly do enjoy it. After all the searching, I finally found the perfect career for me. I want my future career to be an Art therapy.
At first, art was just a distraction, an escape from reality, which I begin to dread so very often, everywhere I went I felt like fear and isolation follow me to every corner of my life. Art allowed me to explore escape from reality and create freely. That very feeling intoxicated my mind presenting me the key to a door that would help me escape my mind and feel entirely free.
Art can give us a way to show people that we have skill in some that not in sport or something. It can be a career in art. Also it can clam down or relax the person.
Art is all around us; choosing what we wear, how we act, what we think, and what we say. It provides society diversity, and gives life that punch of color it so desperately needs.
I know alot of old school artists like da Vinci, Michelangelo, Picasso, and Monet. These were the artists who paved the way for a lot of people to do the things that they are doing now. I perceive art as being a way to express oneself physically, emotionally, spiritually, or mentally. I’m most familiar with the art of music and how it connects to people and how it can articulate one's emotions and feelings. I think people experience some type of art every day and just don't realize it. I mean some people could consider their occupation
Different forms of art have been around since the beginning of time. Art, comes from a cultures specific way of life that has been passed down from generations. Art helps mold people into creative individuals. It helps people stand out, be their own person, and increase their imagination. Art surrounds us from the time we are young children to adults. As a young child, the song your parent may use to sing you to sleep is a form of an art. The building blocks you played with in kindergarten are a form of art. The dance you preformed for your cheerleading squad in high school is an art. Art helps us learn
Although I have been drawing for a majority of my life, it wasn’t until recently when I realized just how much I love art. Art was my method of self-expression and creativity, creating a doorway for my imagination to explain its intricacies. I love art because of its ability to express emotions, moods, and stories.
Art. To me is something undefinable, what I want my art to show you is a piece of myself and a piece of yourself. Something we can all relate to; a memory, a song, a poem, art should make you feel something. Art is a gift, a tool we can use to hide beauty in ordinary places and things. I want to broaden my understanding of design and the world that art is beyond my knowledge and experiences. Because my love for creating burns so bright and deep within me, I am determined to find a career path that will allow me to explore the world of design and art every day. A number of art forms are endless and this seems like a daunting task to find just one path that can express the enjoyment and involvement I want to have with art. Throughout my life I have been endlessly drawing, painting, sculpting and creating--often times I feel almost cursed with such talent to create because the ability seems endless. I have taken a number of art classes exploring my passions as a High School Student and created many different types of works including oil, acrylic, and watercolor paintings; etching, embossed, and screen printmaking; charcoal, graphite, and pastel drawings; Sculpting with ceramics and plaster as well as wheel pieces. I find that there is few mediums I have yet to experiment with. I have become accustomed to Acrylic paintings as I have recently started to create paintings and sell them to community members. I participated in a local art fair and it opened my eyes to what art
