What I 've Learned Throughout Grade 10

I believe that when reflecting on what I’ve learned throughout Grade 10 ELA, I am able to see a definite improvement since the beginning of Grade 10. I feel that I have become far more well adapted to writing essays and I have a far stronger idea of how to formulate essays under less time. I know that from ELA 10 I have a more advanced idea of the vocabulary and sentence structure to enhance my writing. During ELA 10, I enjoyed the three essays we did for each text. I found these projects to be highly enjoyable and they most efficiently furthered my skills of writing and structure. I thoroughly disliked projects such as the Temptation project and Sonnet Poem. Rather than basic titles, such as Lord of the Rings Essay, or Romeo and Fate, I have engineered titles like, “ How the Dedication and Commitment shown by Sam, Positively Enhanced the Film and Himself.”, or “How Different Perspectives Mold and Shape Personal Beliefs.” The use of words like, enhanced, dedication, mold, and shape, show the advanced vocabulary I have developed and how it goes to only strengthen the presentation of my ideas and concepts.
My belief is that I have mastered the skill of when and how to use quotes. These following examples showcase my mastery understanding of this skill, “Unfortunately, her decision to become a Nun, told in Scene 1, Act 1, Lines 214-215, ”Then she hath sworn that she will still live chaste ? She hath….”, starts the chain that leads to Romeo and his newfound love, Juliet, and to their eventual tragic demise.”, “According to Jem, Boo Radley was pictured as a savage creature that looked like something out of science fiction, explained on ( Lee, Page 16) “...a long jagged scar that ran across his face; what teeth he had were yellow and rotten; his eyes popped, and he drooled most of the time.” , and “Jackson shows Sam’s unending loyalty most clearly in Rivendell by Sam’s courageous action of stepping forth, “ Mister Frodo 's not going anywhere without me.” ( Fellowship of the Ring)”. I believe that these examples give an explanation of how I have mastered this skill.
