It is a medium chosen by business sphere in order to introduce their products or services to the public. For instance, poster, radio advertisement, television advertisement, notices, and other paid advertisement are designed to attract the consumers. Advertisement more concern on images and graphics instead of words. While, advertising is defined as non personal communication of information usually paid for attract the buyers. Advertising is essentially a form of communication. To communicate is to establish between minds a relation of understanding (Lowell, 2008). It is because buyers are cognitively interpreting information through advertisement faster than wordy notices. The basic purpose of advertising is to identify and differentiate one product from another in order to persuade the consumer to buy that product in preference to another. Besides persuasion, advertising persist to gain information. While, these purposes are distinguishable both very often are simultaneously present. Sound and sight are two key senses of communication which utilized in advertisements. Various media such as newspapers and magazines are publishing large number of advertisements as obviously advertisements are their main source of income.
