Title: America's gift to My Generation America has changed a lot. If you were in america one- hundred years ago, things would have looked very different. America's new generation is not only different from several years ago, but in other countries too. America has brought this new generation many new opportunities such as , technology, freedom, and rights. Americas technology now is way more complex than it was 30 years ago. Now in this day of age, we have smartphones, televisions, computers, digital clocks and watches, and so much more. Freedom is also very different than it was back in the 1900´s. People now of any color, race, religion, and gender all have rights, as if back then not everybody has the privileges that they do now. America
Since the founding fathers signed the Declaration of Independence, the United States of America has experienced a great amount of changes from then to now. One example of change in America occurred during a time of great prosperity. In the 1920’s America experienced a time of enjoyment and where no one fretted over money. However, after the stock market crash in 1929, America entered the Great Depression, forever altering history. The Great Depression caused many people to lose their jobs and many people did not how to get their next meal. This was a time of great change. Another change occurred when the United States came out of the Great Depression, a time of great suffering, into World War II. The second world war caused America to stop
America, since its creation, has been a mostly thriving nation shaped by events throughout history. From the revolution to today, America would not be the same without its wars, movements, and uprisings. A very turbulent time for America was the early 1900s, where finding a foothold among giants was a risky business. Starting with World War I was a culture shock to the country in general but pushed America into accepting Women’s suffrage. Past this, the 1920’s introduced the clash of old versus new.
America was not always the successful country that it is today and some Americans were once not actually from the United States. Instead, the states stemmed off from different cultures around Europe, the land being split between many big contenders like Britain, Spain, and even France. The thirteen colonies were the start of the US and would eventually become rebellious enough to break away from the system that they had once lived under. The states undergone construction to build a new government and a new way of life for the generations that would come. After two hundred and thirty nine years of practicing and figuring out our way of life, America has both succeeded and dropped in many areas. The definition of America has certainly changed throughout the years, but one thing
Those who have studied history, both in school or professionally, will know that history is just a transcript of time. In every second, of every minute, of every hour, of every day, change occurs. All turning points in history, such as the fall of Rome, or the Industrial Revolution, or the Columbian Exchange, are just periods of time where change was taking place at a quick tempo. The 1920s are also a turning point in the history of America; in that decade, the United States emerges victorious from the brutality of World War I, the nineteenth amendment that allows women to vote is ratified, and social norms are challenged. Those that could adapt to the changing times would flourish in post-war America, whereas those that could not depart
America is very unique as a country especially during the prosperous times of peace, the country is frequently undergoes drastic political and social changes usually seen in other countries only in times of war such as NAZI Germany or Republic people of China. Since the revolution won the independence of America nearly 200 years ago, America has undergone change after change. The use and abolishment of slavery, the tolerance and rejection of immigration, the Homestead act and giving tracts of land and the vote to thousands of people who did not have before, are all examples of the big changes this country. These changes, although large and important in their rights, only increase, decrease, or a little redistribution of political power in the big picture of all
Have you ever wondered about America's gift to your generation. Have you taken taken the time to think about any gifts America has given you to your generation. Do you have any family members that have fought in any of the world wars or any wars. The few gifts I thought of is the gift or rights, education, speech, and opinion.
“I’ve never had bullets fly by my head, but I’ve experienced freedom cause of people who did. Forever thankful to every veteran’s sacrifice.”- Luke. America has given me many gifts, but I’m especially thankful for freedom. Now you’re about to see just how much our country provides.
America has offered us many things to be proud of. But often times, we fail, and only look at the simplest things. We think of our freedoms; speech, religion, press. But while those are our valuable gifts, we forget to look inside of those gifts, to find something more meaningful. This essay is about my generation’s gift, but also everybody else’s gift, unique in it’s own time. It is believable, that over the past 241 years, that the greatest gift, that shows up stronger in every generation, is the spirit of us, a spirit ‘We the people’. In recent events, we may forget that we are one, but I know, that we are, hand-in-hand. We founded this nation amidst a complication and confusion of divided colonies, but linking arms and gritting our
When I see a skyscraper in a city, it reminds me of America; it stands taller than other nations. Like a skyscraper, America was built up from scratch by people who saw potential in its future. Our founding fathers drew the blueprint of America, suggesting that our colonies could unite to form one monumental building. From that blueprint, our Constitution was created which I believe is America’s gift to my generation.
America gave a wonderful gift to my generation. America gave me the gift of freedom and independence. Gifts that I am able to choose and do whatever I like. I am glad to have the gift of independence because some people do not have the gift to choose. I wish everyone had freedom and independence in the world because America gave me wonderful gifts and I would love to share them with everyone.
The United States has 1,281,000 people in the US military and 801,200 in the reserve. These people protect us and give us so much for us. We can stay in the houses we own and live were we want. First Amendment, the freedom of speech lets us say what we want and post what we want. The best protection is our protection, we are protect by our military so well that we can’t say thank you enough.
America’s gift to my generation is we have individuality, we can bear arms, we have the right to vote, and we have freedom. Some countries have to wear specific clothing, they can’t have guns in their houses, or they are ruled by a dictator or king. America has opportunities and options to make our own decisions. We vote and aren’t influenced by one specific person, we vote and choose our representatives for the president, governor, mayor, and and any other political role. Some people that are in our military are related to us in some way.
With the exception of a 100 day war in Kuwait, America was in a state of peace, prosperity, and order. The U.S. economy was growing, jobs were abundant, and violent crime was down. The digital age got underway
America has given our generation a lot, but almost none of it is positive. We have received technology, which is a great gift. We also have the gift of public education. There are many things we have that aren’t good, however. We all have a fear of our loved ones being attacked in their daily lives, a fear of corrupt leaders accidentally starting a nuclear war, and a fear of the actual real world. The news and media are set to feed us the information that they want us to believe, showing us only one side of a story and making the country believe what they want us to believe. Our country also gave illegal immigrants the opportunity to become citizens by going through a paid college or joining the military, whereas if we were to immigrate
The many aspects of the modern period, political, social, and others, were all very different and yet connected in one trait: change. Some major things were happening in America, and no part was left untouched. World War 1 had come and gone, and had left its mark on the culture and economy of the country. Wars cost money, and America had spent a lot, not just in money but in lives. That war was the deadliest in history at that point, and a lot of men were killed, and those who survived had to have endured brutal conditions and horrifying experiences. Desperate to leave those dark days behind, those that returned soon pushed social life to a whole new level.
