As stated in “Andrew Jackson - Good Evil and his Presidency,” a PBS autobiography, “[Andrew Jackson] learned to fight in the Revolutionary War. [Andrew Jackson] was [also] the founding father of the Democratic party. Based upon the book, the “American Lion,” Elizabeth H. Jackson gave birth to Andrew Jackson on March 15, 1767 in South Carolina. Jackson’s father had died during Jackson’s birth, thus leaving Mrs. Jackson to become a mother of three and a mistress of other households. Jackson never settled in his own house, he had no formal education, and therefore he grew up in his Aunt’s house. As the new General, he claims during preparations “Who are we? and for what are we going to fight? Are we the titled slaves of George III? … No, we are the free born sons of America, the citizens of the only republic now existing in the world … [who] possess rights, liberty, and property of what they dare call their own.” Claiming his first Victory, he had defeated the Creek Indians who were allied with the British Militia. Yet, Jackson and his troops were dangerously low on supplies. Year 1813 was when Jackson and his troops had slaughtered the Creek Indians headquarters, but Jackson was too late to save the historical disasters upon Washington D.C and the burning of the White House. Later, on January 8, 1815, “[Jackson] led the American army to the most surprising victory of its century” against the British Militia. When retired, Jackson found a plantation near Alabama called the Hermitage. Jackson believed that all blacks including his, worked for the white, that they were the basis of the new economic system.
