Banksy is an anonymous graffiti artist who uses his stenciling technique in his art to express many themes and messages about the corrupted world. His identity is completely hidden to the public; Banksy is not even his real name! His identity is kept hidden because claiming his self is like confessing to the illegal act of graffiti painting. He grew up in Bristol, a city in southwest England, and attended the Bristol Cathedral school. As a young teen, Banksy was in search for a way to fulfil his potential creativness. Therefore, when he was young, he joined the expanding of graffiti scenes in Bristol around the 1980s. These scenes focused on the young youth who were experiencing their defiant years and were bursting with creative ideas that they want to include in their art. Being in these scenes helped Banksy find who he is and what he can do with his art. He created the street name Banksy when he was involved in the scenes; therefore, no one can know who he is when he signs his art after he finishes painting them.

In “Mona Lisa with Bazooka Rocket”, created by Banksy, she has that same cool and calm expression while, as you can tell by the tittle of the art, holding an armed bazooka rocket. The message was unclear to critics at first, however, they figured it out to be soldiers or anyone who have dealt with war or violence tend to get used to it; therefore, all of what they usually have their feelings “collected and calm”.
