I believe that social class has much more thought in our society. If this was more than twenty years ago, that might be different, but gender recognition and importance has made many advancements and is no longer a crutch or discriminatory matter in most places (with the usual exceptions of people that fit outside of the normal environment that most people try to establish in their surroundings).

Social class has been prevalent in our society since its establishment. Back then, white, landowning men had the highest status amongst society with women and other races being lower in the societal ladder. Times have changed since then, but social class is still a major contributing factor to people’s success. To me, social class is defined as a label that categorizes individuals based on their socioeconomic status, wealth, and power. Social class does not matter, but should not be ignored. It’s prominent in our society so I think students need to be aware of it. Simply by listening to their proper grammar, it is noticeable that they have received a formal education and are quite intelligent. The issue of belonging in society for humans with disabilities has been a complication for as long as our human nature has known because of the titles such as "special." People would suggest by now our knowledge on treatment of humans with special needs and the resilience it takes to care for them would make life easier for their families and loved ones. Social class can be achieved, however there are some instances where social class is simply ascribed. A perfect example of this, would be being born into a wealthy family, where that child will simply be wealthy for the rest of his or her life without having to work hard in order to be in the position they are in. However, someone may be born into a poor family, and manage to become part of the middle class, as a result of all their hard work and effort to get there.

According to English Dictionary the upper class is composed of the wealthiest people and have a high rank in political society. Investopedia states that only 1% of the United States is upper class. As a result, they will never have to work a day in their life because money has been passed down through generations.
