George Orwell was a very famous author, he developed most of his fame in 1946 when he wrote the book Animal Farm. Animal Farm is a book about how animals can really talk and they want to rebell against man, and run the farm themselves. Orwell was actually really smart. With World War II going on he found himself becoming a propagandist for the British Empire. Orwell resigned in 1943 and became a literary editor for a socialist newspaper. During this time he wrote two of his best known novels, Animal Farm and Nineteen Eighty-Four. Animal Farm was published in 1945, it was an anti-Soviet satire in a pastoral setting with the two protagonists being portrayed by pigs. Nineteen Eighty Four was published in 1949.
