What Is Lyin Lying?

Lying, something most people say is really bad. Is it actually though. Lying isn't that terrible depending on how it's used. It can be used to get to prevent getting yourself in trouble, to get something that is cool, to keep a relationship, or to even keep a friend. Lying is ok in certain situation

Values are principles that a person lives up to. It shapes and defines who they are. Moral refers to issues of right and wrong and how individual people should behave. Moral values are one of the most important things that we human beings live for.

A lie is considered a false statement given to fool someone. At some point throughout the day everyone will stretch the truth. Are lies just really some version of the truth or are they bold and deliberate? Lying is discussed in-depth in "The Ways We Lie" by Stephanie Ericsson and in the article "Is Lying Bad for Us" by Richard Gunderman. The two articles discuss the types of lies, reasons people lie and the consequences suffered by all. It can be determined after reading the texts that lying causes undue stress and telling the truth is beneficial in more ways than one.

Morality is a particular system of values and principles of conduct. My interpretation of this is the distinction of right and wrong. Everyone has a personal morals, whether it’s through a group, organization, or just the way their parents brought them up. Morals help create an organized society, they are like unwritten laws. There are so many morals out there the government could not make them all laws, so although morals help govern the world they are not actual laws. Without morals the world would be nothing but chaos. Being honest, fair and just, making the world a better place, respecting others, and being open minded are just a few examples.

As we all know, lying is a constant part of many people’s lives, whether they realize it or not. Now and then, we’ve all lied to our parents about our homework being completed. (Even though your homework is not done because playing video games or texting your friends is more interesting.) Honestly, lot’s of us have told a lot of white lies or maybe even a whopper of a lie, and we all have varied views on when we should or shouldn 't lie. Such as Brad Blanton, an author of a book about lying and the article, “Honestly, Tell the Truth” who believes in the concept of radical honesty: telling the truth at all times. (excluding a matter of life or death) By cutting out the white lies we tell throughout the course of our lives, there will be less lies to, as Blanton states “unnecessarily complicate our lives.” I agree with Blanton and his opinion that we honestly need to tell the truth and that if we cut out most if the lies we tell, our lives will be free of the aftermath of a lie: damaged relationships and unnecessary amounts of stress. I believe that lying is burdening to the liar who usually fights a losing battle, for he will most likely be found out. I also believe that if we excessively lie, this pattern will become a habit and a problem that will be hard to get rid of in the future. To many people, a lie has little significance. Some people tell lies as a way to cover something up, make a different name for themselves, or just to make excuses. No matter what the situation, my father has constantly reminded me that the truth will set you free, and as I get older even though I am still in my youth, the more I realize the truth and importance of that statement. Morality is the guidelines of society, which helps explain what is right and wrong. Now, this may look different in other societies, cultures, and religions. For some, pure morality is based off of natural instincts, meaning: actions that do not contravene any other being or their belongings. For others, they might use the definitions of morality that they learned through religious and cultural upbringings. Many religions have a path that leads their believers follow in order to live a principled life.

As the employer I have no legal right to force or coerce this employee to take any medication, therefore there is no course of action that I should follow. However, if this employee is not able to perform his job, I have the right fired him. Keeping an employee that can created a danger environment on the workplace can subsequently have greater repercussions for the business.

Everyone has morals, values, attitude, and opinions about everything, it deals with how your behavior should conform generally with cultural ideas of rights and wrongs. Tell a lie once and all your truths become questionable. Lying Is sometimes acceptable because if you tell a lie that is in a near situation then it's acceptable. For example if your friend wants to hurt someone and they ask you for some information about where they might be then you will most likely lie to them about that because you don't want anyone to get hurt and you also don't want your friend to get in trouble. This is different then lying about just wanting to go to your friends house. For example if your parents told you that you can't stay at your friend's house for some reason and you lie to them by telling them that you have to stay after school for some project but you actually go to a friends house. Then it's not really acceptable to lie in this situation because you see your friends almost everyday and compared to telling a lie in a near death situation then it is acceptable.

Morality is defined as a recognition or belief that explains why some behaviors are bad or good. In simple words, morality refers to values relating to the distinction between wrong and right or good and bad. Few morals are easily accepted and are only questioned by some fringes of society who might disagree with such morals. These individuals on the fringes can be bad or good. The ones who reject socially accepted moral does not necessarily mean that they are good persons. Thus, one can say that each individual has morals that are different from each other (Joseph).
