The time has come for the students at Saltillo High School to wave goodbye to their principal. In a short amount of time, Mr. Devaughn will retire and leave the student body to wonder who will lead them next. Now students must consider their expectations of how a principal should carry out their job. The school board should take into account these expectations when choosing who they wish to represent the school. Your novel, Candide, was one of my favorite novels that I have read throughout my college career. Your novel stood out to me more than the others that I have read for some reason. Psoriasis is a skin disease marked by red, itchy, scaly patches, and it is an immune-mediated, inflammatory condition which affects nearly 3 percent of the world’s population, is not contagious, and it affects both males and females, no matter what age or ethnicity they are. Psoriasis could be painful, their lesions could crack open and bleed, and itching could also occur, though sometimes it might not even be painful at all. Candida albicans is a dimorphic fungus. This means that that C. albicans has to different phenotypic forms, an oval shaped yeast form and a branching hyphal form. C. albicans normal habitat is the mucosal membranes of humans and various other mammals including the mouth, gut, vagina, and sometimes the skin. Normally C. albicans causes no damage and lives symbiotically with the human or animal host, even helping to breakdown minute amounts of fiber that are eaten in the host’s diet. The normal bacterial flora of the gut, mouth, and vaginal mucosa act as a barrier to the over growth of fungal infections like C. albicans. Loss of this normal flora is one of the main predisposing factors to an infection by C. albicans.
